    Thanks earth.

  • played with one instore seemed laggy when swipping to different screens.
    and a dissapointing screen.
for some less picky people this might e good but certainly not my cup of tea.

    • Is the Atom Z2560 not that great a chip? I've been after a cheap tablet and seems like from Futuremark benchmarks that they are on par with the MT6592 8-cores. And I've used a fair few older gadgets with Mediatek chips (MT6577, MT6589) and they seem to run pretty smoothly.

Is it that the benchmark simply does not translate to real world performance.

      • laggyness is most likely due to whatever extra software UI acer puts on android.
or it may soley caused by the cheap screen.

Yeah wouldn't the 8" aldi tab be a lot better than this? Of coarse its $30 more, but it has 4.4.2 and better hardware.

Edit: this seems to be a different model to those acer tabs that were selling for around $100, it uses an intel cpu instead of a mtk. So this is probably better choice than the aldi tab?

    • the only thing you are buying with this is the brand name, i bought the aldi tab on the day it came out, since then its been everything i ever wanted, no too big not too small. 9.5/10 the lost of .5 is because i'm finding it hard to find a suitable case for it :(

      -responsive 10/10
      -touch screen excellent
      -android kitkat awesome!

      :)

Does it double as a fleshlight?

Check the screen display in store before you buy. The IPS display just doesn't look right (in a bad way).

  • cyanogen mod?

I wont post this as a deal as I'm not sure of its usual price,
    http://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/nexus-7-from-…
but a nexus 7 gen 1 for $149 compares favourably

    • Link doesn't work any more…must have sold out
