Been looking for a local South East Asia last minute cruise for next month and came across a Paul Gauguin Cruise out of Cairns from US$5995 (50% discount).
Now this deal comes with return air fares from Los Angeles, so to be able to utilise the flights for a later trip would be a bonus if it can be arranged.

However, further searching revealed same cruise at 80% off from Vacations-to-go (deal #23668) WITHOUT the air fare from LA from US$2995 per person.

So, 14 nights from US$2995 ($214 night) for an oceanview cabin (I'm guessing it has a porthole) at 80% discount off the usual price of approx $14,000+ isn't too bad.
It'll be autumn time too so not so hot and then catch a bargain Scoot (or AA) flight home from Singapore.

Seems like the better deal is from vacationstogo.com (banned from listing on OzBargain for spamming so cant be posted - PM me if you want the VTG link.
).

All prices USD and Per Person.
And probably more costs involved too.

      That means the full price is $14975 which equates to $1069 per day and does not include return flight.

    What does this ship have that some of the others don't to warrant a $14,000 price tag? EG Radiance or Rhapsody of the Seas I recently priced at about AU$1900 pp for a 19 night cruise Hawaii to Sydney, for oceanview and all inclusions

      Smaller ships are dearer, as they have fewer passengers to share the fixed costs.

      I believe cabins are bigger, and food and service to a higher standard. It also includes gratuities, which are extra on RCL, and also includes drinks, which are also extra on RCL.
