  • I don't see anything.

edit* prices are already set as 20% off and I was looking at Wii U and Wii games, nothing special.

      I don't see anything.

      open your eyes

Wii U and Wii games, nothing special.

Wii Fit U with balance board is cheap

    • Tekken & AC3 for 32 for wiiu, not bad

Child of light http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/ps4/child-of-light-delux… $23.20 not bad if you want the goodies as well!

    • Was just looking at that!

    • Man I really wish they had released the physical copy for the Wii U as well.

      • +3

Its just a digital code in a box

    • Yes, awesome price!

  • +1

Donkey kong country tropical freeze for $59.20 looks good for an au copy too http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/wii-u/donkey-kong-countr…

    • Rayman Legends is a far better games with far more content and its 30 bucks.

What it doesnt have is the kick ass donkey kong theme music though.

  • +1

    BF4 $51.20 on PS4 and XB1 not too shabby
    Rayman Legends PS4 and XB1 $29.60

Love their listing for the PC games:

Love the hand written 'reviews' stuck to the shelves by staff at the Melbourne store. Nice to see a sense of humor from a bigger company

      • I'm guessing they do it state-wide; they have those in WA branches too.

        • I'd like to know if they are store unique, or just written by head office and sent out.

        • +2

Store unique, we can pretty much write what we want as long as it's a "positive review", so it can be funny and silly…as long as it has a good star rating!

        • +3

Must be the same loose rules for staff dress code.

FML that new Indooroopilly Shopping Centre store you just opened… you have guys walking around in sneakers with their soles tearing off, beards that haven't been trimmed in like 10 years, holes in already dirty and unpresentable tshirts and general bad BO.

I don't get you guys. Great products, great prices, even great service (of late) but the presentation of your staff is disgraceful.

        • +3

perhaps it's a way of making the store look cheap, JB puts money towards that roughed up messy presentation to match their brand image of being cheap. Not so sure about the BO tho….

        • I guess "this sux, don't buy it" doesn't really help the company cause :P

        • They operate on the same business model as MSY - have a really crap looking "front", but good prices.

        • +2

JB has always been hiring young nerdy looking hipsters. If you want the Buff dudes wearing polo shirts you can always hit up any of the other stores.

    • +1

      Der Übermenschen Plattförm, ja.

  • +3

    A few cheapies on 360 and / or PS3:

Call Of Juarez: Bound In Blood - $4
    Inversion - $8
Operation Flashpoint: Red River - $8
    Motionsports Adrenaline (Kinect) - $8

  • +2

The combined value of a number of the 2 for $16 games is better than what you would get individually on Steam or Humble Bundle for instance.

    • Although there is the steam "summer" sale probably around the corner.

  • +2

Curses, was hoping to pick up a copy of Demon Gaze for the Vita but it seems to have dropped off of JBs records. Shame, it would have been a nice consolation after going in store and not finding it. Guess its back to waiting for that 64gb memory card and buying a digital copy from the US PSN.

Might look at getting some 3DS games; $43 for A Link between Worlds, Bravely Default (A solid buy) and Yoshi's New Island. Paper Mario is also $36, although I hear mixed things about it. Definitely some nice savings given that nintendo games tend not to go cheap and retail at $54-59. Cheers for the post. :)

    • Paper mario is cheaper at Target if you can find one

    • +1 for Bravely Default, and pretty much any 3DS Games that are old but are still priced high everywhere (eg: Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate)

  • Terms say not pre-orders but Kirby Triple Deluxe seems to be at the odd price of $43.20 (along with other aforementioned 3DS games).

Danganronpa and Ys Memories Of Celceta are both $35.20 too, was all set to get them and Dong Freeze at RRP so quite happy about that.

    • +1

That's because Kirby comes out on Saturday, during the %20 off period

      • Thanks for clarification, placed an order last night and was worried it might get rejected.

      • Is it possible to price match then discount off?

EDIT: nvm did some more thinking and realised that discounted price is lower then match price.

  • online only?

  • About friggin time, JB!

This is good for those holding out on getting Reaper of Souls for Diablo 3… highly recommended if you haven't already:

    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/pc-games/diablo-3-reaper…

    • Will they do a combined version? I don't wanna buy two games to get one good one.

      • You actually get most of the features of RoS with a major patch to D3. You can easily play through the main game and buy RoS when you get to the fifth act if you still want it.

      • If and when they do a combined version, it probably won't be the cost of a single game for quite some time.

And it's not really two games. RoS is still the same Diablo 3 game but with another act, another class and the item modification needed to more enjoyably make a high level build now that the AH is closed.

My mate's playing through vanilla D3 atm… and he's enjoying it with the patch 2.0 changes alone… no Mystic, no nothing. RoS does make the game better as a good expansion does.

    Grand Theft Auto V - XBOX360 / PS3 $47.20 (normally $63.20)

  • +6

South Park: The Stick of Thruth - for $31.20 is pretty good.

    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/pc-games/south-park-the-…

    • hmm definitely a good deal, might hold off for steam summer sales.

  • Hey guys, are these the best prices for Wii U games at the moment. I have a Wii U but only 2 games. Great time to stock up on New Super Mario U and WindWaker HD?

    • +2

I'd recommend buying Mario Kart 8 when it comes out at the end of this month. Then you can get either of those games as a free download too! My pick of the two is definitely WindWaker, but both are good.

      • Thanks pal, I'll need to look into that, as I don't know where I can get that 'free' game?

        • +2

Nintendo will send you a download code once you've registered your copy of Mario kart.

        • +3

http://gamesites.nintendo.com.au/mk8_bonus/ all the info you need :) 2 weeks to go! hehe

        • +1

Thanks you three, I think I'll buy New Super Mario Bros. Wii U now for $55, buy Mario Kart 8 and get the $65 WindWaker HD free!

    • Games like Assasins Creed 3, NBA2k, Tekken tag tournament, etc. are all in the 2 for $32 game section.

  • +2

nice, might pick up a legit copy of Warcraft 3 and the expansion its only $15.96 combined

  • No final fantasy x on vita?

    • +1

Try in store, looks like it's been removed from the website.

      • +1

local store ran out ages ago :( they told me to check the website

        • =(

        • where are you located? I managed to get hold of one copy from South Wharf VIC.

        • Tonnes at EB but I haven't seen a single copy at JB since release.

        • Saw some at my local for $54 pre discount. Seems a bit expensive. It's $39 on US PSN, assuming it'll eventually go on sale too…

I would go physical if both X and X-2 were physical but X-2 being digital only turns me off

Also I'm not sure if the PAL X-2 digital code works if you are using US PSN

splinter cell blacklist ultimatum edition for PS3 is $21.6 only
    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/ps3/tom-clancy-s-splinte…

  • Finally!

  • Anyone know if this is instore too? I have a pre-order for Kirby at EB Games, would be great to price match.

    • It's instore in the Sydney city stores. Saw staff putting up the signs this morning.

  • +1

Bravely Default at $43.20 is the best I have ever seen it for 3DS!

  • +1

I must be missing something…is there a way to sort by price?

Can't see anything on the games listing pages?

    • +2

No, there's no way to sort by price. (at least no button to get it to sort) :(

      • Hmmm…yes… :(

  • Thief worth it for PS4?

    • Not especially. Are you a fan of the original story or the original gameplay? If the latter, No, if the former, Yes!

      • Nah never played it

Reviews say its not that great and I'm not to keen on FPS due to the quickness, is Thief like this even tho its FP too

        • I enjoyed it. It's not really a quick game unless you go the action route. I spent the whole game sneaking around and didn't get into any fights.

        • Seems good, very long game?

        • Think it took me around 14 or so hours. I did some of the optional stuff, but not all.

    • +1

Definitely do not recommend it on PS4. I had played on PC thought this was awesome, runs great and I'll complete on couch with PS4. On PS4 the game struggles constant frame rate issues. Really off putting it doesn't even stay at 30fps more like 10 fps in some scenes. Strongly recommend stay away from PS4 version,

  • Tempted to get Dark Souls 2 for $63.20…

    http://www.jbhifionline.com.au/game/ps3/dark-souls-ii/700685

    • +2

Still expensive I wouldn't touch it until it's like $40 or less

      • or $30 or less..

        • will be half a year wait if under $30 :P

      • I am waiting to it to be cheaper! $40 will be prefect I think! but still tempted!!

    • +1

Paid that much at launch for an import copy, one of very few games I've finished twice in a row (and the only of them with a first play through of 70+ hours) and still wanted to keep playing. Worth it imo.

      • +1

Only worth it when you got the time. My backlog on PS3 is out of control at least 10 titles not finished and few in Shrink Wrap.

forking our money for games but not play them don't that's the Ozbargainer way lol

      • I played Dark Souls and finished it 3-4 times and also got 100% trophies so I am very much looking forward to playing this game. Also I want to play it on PS4 but unsure if it will ever come to PS4!

Might not be able to wait any longer anyway!!

  • +1

Thanks, just got Ys, great price! Can't wait to play it after FFX.

  • Has anyone seen a copy of rayman for Wii u on an actual job HiFi store in a while?

  • Just grabbed MGS V and Child of Light, All up should have cost me $58.40 as per the jb site -

    https://www.jbhifionline.com.au/default.aspx?T=11427&P=70009…
    https://www.jbhifionline.com.au/default.aspx?T=10924&P=69790…

But only came up to $46.72 when I paid at the register. Exactly 20% lower than the already reduced price?

    No complaints here!

This was at the Mackay JB, hope others have similar success!

Edit: MGS V on PS4 and the digital deluxe version of CoL, as per the link

    • You apparently dealt with a rookie. You lucked out.

      • Yep sounds like you got lucky

I got Child of Light Deluxe Edition, watch the reviews and its a must have

  • Does it include Nintendo?

  • +2
  • Does anyone know if Danganronpa is still available in store? The product page has been removed from the website since I last looked at it this afternoon.

    • If they were selling it, you should goto a store and check or ask. Generally I find that the website removes a product page when they only have a few copies left, but sometimes this can add up to quite a lot of copies Australia-wide.

(It's how I got a monster hunter wii u bundle about 4 months ago even though they havnt been on their website for like 6 months prior to that).

      • Okay thanks, I'll go have a look in a couple tomorrow and see if I can find it.

  • GTA V, Gran Turismo 6, Last of Us very cheap. +++
