I found it when looking into a way to ship these cheap memory cards : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144368

How does this work : https://www.reship.com/UI/AboutUs.aspx

Also - not sure if it works yet, but code SHIP1115 might get you 15% off the 1st package delivery

Couple of review sites look OK :
http://www.webutation.info/go/review/reship.com
https://www.ekomi-us.com/review-reshipcom.html

although this one looks more mixed :
http://www.sitejabber.com/reviews/www.reship.com

Note - I haven't used the service yet, just signed-up, thought no harm to get an address for future use.

i entered shipping details for a guitar in rectangular hard case. $180US delivered to Melbourne using FedEx.
cheap. Could never get it under $260 with the numerous times I've shipped guitars from overseas.

  • I used them quite abit in the past 5 years, however I agree with other posters, I think they are taking a cut on the postage fees as they seem to have risen a bit in the past year - almost to the point where I dont want to use them unless I have no other choice, ie Amazon wont ship direct to aus or something and I realy realy need the item.

If anyone knows cheaper USA reshipping, I'm open to tips!

I used PriceUSA to ship a Lenovo laptop weighting 3kg for about $120.
They only charge a flat shipping fee which is very reasonable, so I'm sticking with them.
    Great communication too.

I use PriceUSA as well. I don't buy often and so I don't want to rent an address. Competitive shipping fee.

I would recommend PriceUSA to newbies and occasionally purchases. The commercial Forwarders are better for heavier/bulkier items, and large combined shipments, for people wanting to bid on Ebay, and cheats wanting to undervalue packages to avoid GST.

PriceUSA is good for Macy's since they buy for you and you want get rejected for having a non-US credit card.

  • I have enabled ReShip.com for user-submitted referral links. Please see this forum post for details.

Good to have. Haven't used a US forwarder before.

Only used the Japanese site, Tenso, once and then Amazon changed its policy a fee months later and stopped shipping Kindles to non-residents of Japan - even with a Tenso account…

  • I just consolidated a largish package on Shipito (mostly board and wargames, new and 2nd hand). I am posting an image showing an example of how it works with a breakdown of fees. Shipping is around $4 per pound but the other fees make it around $5/pound. I hope I have removed all confidential details.

Don't know if it's already been posted (its a loooong thread), but I now use UStoOz. The lady that runs it is an aussie living in Colorado. She gives you a free US address if required, consolidates packages removing excess packaging, makes purchases for you if the site won't take an aussie credit card & gives you a choice of shopping options. UStoOz communication with customer is excellent. I'm not in anyway affiliated with her company. Just thought I'd pass it along. I originally found out about UStoOz from an ozbargain thread.

    • Thanks for mentioning this. Some people prefer to use "little guys' comppared to the behemoth that is SHipito.

      The URL is: http://www.ustooz.com/

  • Now I have got this account ready, Can someone please tell me few bargain US sites so I can get some computer items

    • I keep track of slickdeals.net. Newegg.com, tigerdirect.com and amazon.com regularly have good deals.

  • Is it any better than hopshopgo? I use them regularly and find it good.

  • Wow, 30x30x30 5 lbs comes to $660!!

    Try Comgateway.com

First 0.5 kg to Aus is $24, every subsequent 0.5kg $4, via FedEx (or DHL, can't remember).

I've used them for years, shopped around and find they're still the cheapest.

    • Sounds good I am looking at them right now based on your recommendation. Thanks.

  • Thanks OP, used your referral link

  • Fantastic. Thank you.

Along similar lines, is there a reputable service like this to get a UK address?

  • Does anyone have problems loggin into their website?

  • Speaking of shipping charges..

I wonder if they will help with my shipping issue:

I need a cheap way to ship a Gas Turbine Jet Engine weighing 780kg from Nevada USA to NSW Australia :)

My cheapest quote so far is $3,500 USD (includes crate and customs inspection charges)

    Any ideas ?

    Pookie
