    $2 worth of plastic, $10 retail at best. I can't see these things selling any more, they are old news.

      Still a big seller although getting a lot cheaper. The loom band fad isn't over yet.

    these are the biggest fad out, the kids love them. Rep.can you do a deal without the loom as many are after just the bands..

    In your eBay ad, you highlight how good silicone is compared to TPR rubber band. You claim that TPR rubber is easy to deform, easy to break etc… that's all fine, until I read that you are selling the TPR rubber in your package!!! I'm not sure you are doing yourself any good by claiming TPR rubber is inferior and trying to sell it at the same time!.

    • It looks like the kit comes with the TPR bands, the extras are silicone.. Seems like a better deal could be had without the poor quality kit!

    Is this the genuine original rainbow loom or a rip off copy? You mention in your eBay AD what the genuine identifying marks are but never mention that what you are selling is the genuine article. I only ask because the net is littered with fakes that are far less superior in quality.

    • [edit] just saw the post below about non-genuine bands breaking. fair enough.

    Cheaper in any $2 shop. They are $2 for 300 bands or 3 packs of 300 bands for $5.

    Little bit of maths -

    3600 = 12 packs
    4x $5 3 packs = $20
    Loom band kit (which includes 600 loom bands) =$8

    So 4200 bands plus the kit for $28

    9600 = 32 packs
    11x $5 3 packs = $55
    Loom band kit (which includes 600 loom bands) =$8

    So 10,200 bands plus the kit for $63

    Clips and hooks come with every pack of bands. No deal here.

      Hi,
      As my house is still well and truly part of this fad - just wondering where they are 3 packs of 300 for $5?????? In SA I've seen 300 for $3, 200 for $3 and 1000 for $5.
      Thanks

      • Not sure if you'll still see this message but Neds in Welland Shopping Centre sells packs of 300 for $2, that's the cheapest I've seen.

        Most places sell 300 packs for $3 (Reject Shop, Kmart, Cheap as Chips, Lincraft), or 4 x 300 for $10 (Fantastic Homewares in Myer Centre).

        That being said I can't vouch for the quality. I've tried various compatible brands and they either give me a headache (never knew I was sensitive to rubber bands!) or leave a powdery residue on my hands. They also snap very easily and makes difficulty designs even more of a headache to complete.

        At the moment I only use genuine Rainbow Loom brands as they are actually slightly cheaper at $5 for 600 so long as you're not after the glitters, neons and metallics - those are $5 for 300. Toy World stocks them.

    lol, I think you're in the wrong place, OP. This is ozbargain, not ozscam! we're at, or slightly past, the peak of the fad now. it is already dead in the US and the UK, and it hasn't got much longer to run here. you can't blame the op for trying to dump his excess inventory before the market disappears, but calling it a bargain (when it very clearly is not) is just ridiculous.

  • they have had a great run and made millions with this. 300 bands for $3.00 is ludicrous. They should be 50 cents if that.

  • +1

    I used to just make things with regular elastic bands when I was a kid and they are so much cheaper and versatile then these!

  • It would be great if the OP can confirm that the bands are original Rainbow Loom silicone bands and not some of the alternative brands going around for $2 a pack.

    Having a couple of daughters we have a few different versions in the house and the original Rainbow loom kit is the best quality one, the rubber bands don't generally break easily (unlike some of the others we have) when doing a difficult pattern. Every time my local stores get stock they are gone almost instantly and I'm getting constantly nagged to get more!

    At the price OP is advertising that's a big saving on a GENUINE Rainbow Loom kit + silicone bands which is normally $20 - $24 for the kit and $4.90 per 300 pack of Silicone bands.

    Before anyone asks I don't know the OP, just registered to find out if the loom bands are Genuine Rainbow Loom.

  • OP are they authentic rainbow looms? I found out yesterday that fakes can be chargedback if you have used a credit card, but what a hassle!

    • Really can't do a chargeback on fake loom bands, there's hardly any genuine ones on eBay and it is very obvious when they aren't plastered with logos. That's like doing a chargeback on a $35 Tiffany and Co ring.

  • Where is the rep?
