  • don't forget the $5 off when spend $100 or more https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/143199

  • +1 for the Lindt deal, this https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/105554 was $1.88 and was popular! I'm stocking up for sure. 70% dark choc ftw.

coles started stocking 90% bars recently. lindt apparently produce 99% bars as well which i would love to try one day

      • In Europe the 99% is only a 50g bar. Same package size and price as the 100g, though. Taste is very powdery and brittle. Have been a 85% addict for years now.

      • you can buy it at the Lindt cafes, e.g. Chadstone SC

  • Thanks, Tonester. Running low on Lindt 85% from the last Target sale.

  • Stocked up on the 90% bars. 1 square a day keeps the doctor away :)

    The Health Benefits of Cocoa:
    * Stimulates digestion – because of the bitter taste
    * High in antioxidants – contains more than 600 plant chemicals that protect against heart disease and cancer. Higher than goji, acai and blueberries.
    * Used in the treatment of: fatigue, fever, heart pain, shortness of breath, kidney and bowel complaints
    * Can elevate mood – great source of serotonin, dopamine, anandamide and phenylethylamine (PEA), four well-studied neurotransmitters, which are associated with feelings of well being and help alleviate depression -

    • my understanding is that the benefits of dark chocolate have been proven. there is some evidence to suggest it might be beneficial, but at the moment it is still candy

      • For me, it supplements me in my high fat-low carb diet especially at times when I crave a bit of chocolate and when others in the house are having their desserts, I take out a square from the bar and enjoy it. The 85 and 90% are low in sugar, low in carbs and I don't mind the bitter taste.

All in all, it works perfectly for me and heck, if the above benefits are true, then why not :)

      • sorry i meant to say "the benefits of dark chocolate haven't been proven" above
