  • Are you sure the code is not unique and linked to your flybuys?

    • +6

No, this is not linked to your flybuys. If you did the TellColes survey you would get the same voucher.

Thanks to the OP for posting this, it has been a while since someone posted one of these on OzBargain

      • +1

I think it's been a while since someone posted the current coupon but I think there was a deal posted less than six months ago about the survey.

        • +7

I would love it if the new coupon was posted on OzBargain each month

Wow I feel so cheap just wasting like 30 minutes slowly doing the tellcoles.com.au survey just to give a shout out to a awesome bit of customer service this arvo at my local coles. When I was presented with a $5 off when spending $100 I did not even elect to get it. I have no idea what I'm saying here…..

    • +16

      It's ok we don't either

  • sounds good

  • nothing new here. We do the survey every week, and as far as i know its linked to your flybuys account as you need these details to fill out the survey.

    • +5

its linked to your flybuys account as you need these details to fill out the survey

Only the 1,000 points offer is linked to your flybuys account. The $5 voucher is not unique. Try it for yourself, when you do the TellColes survey next time and choose the $5 voucher see if you get the same one the OP posted.

      nothing new here

Nothing new, but the OP posting this voucher has saved everyone else 10mins of having to fill out the TellColes survey. At 257 clicks that is nearly 2 full days time saved for the greater community. I'm all for the new vouchers being posted each month as the old ones expire.

    • +2

The coupon is generic and not tied to your FlyBuys number. It is also valid for two months so you do not need to do the survey every week.

      Edit: Beaten by 23 seconds.

      • +2

So it's possible to use it on every shop over $100 until July?

        • +1

          Yes

        • +2

Yes, just print as many as you need and make sure to get a different checkout operator each time or else they might realise you are using the voucher more often than once a month.

        • +1

It is my understanding that if they swipe your flybuys card as well, this $5 off voucher will only work once.

  • Thanks just saved me 20 mins

  • thanks OP!

  • Bi-Lo? I haven't seen that supermarket in years…

  • +4

I haven't spent $100 at Coles/Woollies in one transaction since I shop mostly at Aldi now.

      cool story

  • +1

Hey OP, I don't think you can use te coupon multiple times. Once I mistakenly printed a coupon twice, and the guy and counter said this is used voucher and he denied the discount

    • +1

      Dude ripped you off $5

    • +1

I've used the same voucher numerous times and it has never failed. Our weekly/bi-weekly shop for the past 2 years always has the $5 off voucher used. The checkout guy really did rip you off $5

  • Voucher says "only redeemable once" ??

    • +2

So redeem it once. Print another and then redeem that one too.

  • i have a recurring calendar reminder to do the survey, but i have for a while been choosing the free 1000 flybuys points, which equates to $5, without the minimum spend. I wonder if I can still use this voucher as well as get the points. I'll give it a go. if so, deal!

    • +1

      You can

    • Jaxr is right. You can receive the 1,000 points and then do another survey to get the $5 off voucher. It has been this way for years. Only now that the OP has posted this voucher you don't have to do the survey for the $5 off voucher for the next 2 months (you still have to do the survey if you want the 1,000 points in your flybuys account).

      • wife tells me (she works at bilo) that you can only do the survey once per week?

        • I suppose you can do the survey every day if you feel like it. However a maximum of 1,000 points per flybuys account will be credited per month so there is no point in doing the survey more than once per month.

        • +1

          ah understand now.

    • I agreee. There are ways to get the 1000 points and the $5 voucher in one month.

I rarely spend over $100 at Coles now so I have been collecting the points since April last year. Last month I knew I would be spending over $100 in one transaction at Coles for a special occasion. I did a survey for the points and then the next day I did another survey without giving my flybuys number and received the $5 voucher which worked perfectly in a transaction that had my flybuys number attached to it.

For those who are worried that the operator won't take the voucher mutli times, use them on selfcheck outs, works like a breeze scan and you all ggod to go/ repeat same process if you if you have example $500, 100/100/100/100/100.

    • +3

wow that's alot of groceries! esp. self check out

  • +1

When it used to be $5 off every $30 spent it was good, but those days have gone. :(

    WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

  • Anyone saved a voucher/barcode onto your phone and scanned it in at self checkout ($100 is still a lot of groceries to be using the self-checkout though)
I have a Subway voucher on my phone which I use regularly. Sometimes I get asked for the print out and I reply - "so I have to cut down a tree just to get the free footlong?"

Hoping this may work with Coles

Also, another tip is when you get a receipt from Coles with a useful voucher at the bottom - ask for a duplicate receipt.

  • That's a really handy tip MITM with the receipt. I complete the survey every month with the smallest receipt I can find (try the bins near self serve), sometimes with different cardholders, and I have gotten 2 x 1000 points/month.

Another tip is to install the Flybuys toolbar, 200 searches for 100 points/month.
