Pretty self explanatory. Been a while since this went on sale for non-discounted stock (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/115818). Discounted refurbs/returns went on sale a few months ago with only 1 year warranty (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/133291).

I've been watching and waiting. Time to bite the bullet for me.

EDIT: Tried calling up to get 3 (giving one to bro) but they wouldn't do it because it is a 'bundle'. Couldn't get a further discount on 2 either. So now it's do I want 1 or 3…. hmmmmm

Argh. Do NOT need ANOTHER 2 2412Ms as amazing as they are lmao
Similar deal (the dell uses an LG panel) LG IPS235P Factory Second $165 pickup/pp http://www.buysmarte.com.au/tv-visual-1/computer-monitors/lg…
    plus $25 off purchase over $250 http://www.buysmarte.com.au/promotions

The IPS 235P is an amazing unit for the money, like the dell (yes i own both lol)

    • But these are 1920x1200, 16:10…

      • +8

Yes indeed they are. As i said - i own both.
Still TOTALLY relevant to people who are looking for a good colour accurate monitor, and it makes the IPS235 the better choice if watching HD movies is a big consideration (which is why i went for it).
I also means that the IPS235 is effectively the same size per pixel as the extra inch is more than taken up by the extra 10% height.

These units are also seconds and hence only have 1y wty vs the three years for the Dell. But then the also come ready calorimeter calibrated which also may be important if you don't own one and care about colour accuracy

I put it here as a reference for those who are looking for a great buy on a monitor, not as a criticism of the deal. To HELP PEOPLE. thats the point of this site after all!

Edit - seriously - why the f*** would you neg a post giving people information and options?

    • +2

Oh yeah - if you are googling reviewa, the difference between the IPS235V and IPS235P is the IPS 235P has a MUCH better stand, but they are otherwise identical so the reviews are relevant (apart from the crapness of the stand lmao)

    • Unfortunately BuySmarte website shows out of stock.

  • Hmm… I'm still rocking a single 2405FPW that I paid a lot more for.

Still two of these would go well with that.

    • +1

no, they wouldnt, the 2405FPW is a full 8 bit panel and the 2412M is a 6 bit panel, thats why the price difference. The M is for mainstream, generally denotes a 6 bit panel

  • have 3…. do i need 5?

    • +1

      Yes.

These monitors are dope, i got one a while back on sale… I'd love to have 2, but i don't really need it.

    • what do ppl use 5 for on the same machine these days? all I can think of is flight sim.

  • Not sure if I want to go for these or just a single 28 inch solution… Decisions decisions…

    • End up getting Asus PB278Q as I still prefer full PLS-IPS (as opposed to e-IPS). And prefer single monitor. Was thinking of getting Dell MDS14 double stand but after reading some comments, you need a huge desk for it. Would still get this monitor if space permitting…

  • I love mine, I'm typing on it right now. I really don't have the desk space for another 2 and my MBP, however its a great deal.

    • I didn't realise they were touch screen…

      • I wish!

    • could get a 4 monitor stand and then they take up very little space. if you need to you can even go UP lol

  • Whats the difference compare to U2414H in https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/134275

    • thinner bezel?

    • also 16:10
