Technoline BC-700 Charger (La Crosse Equivalent) @NKON.nl for $38.15 AUD Delivered

110

Just bought one for the eneloop batteries deal.
http://www.amazon.com/Crosse-Technology-BC-700-Battery-Charg… is $48.81 AUD inc. shipping with 28deg card via paypal.
So this is about 22% cheaper. Says special price of 19.80 euro + 5.80 euro shipping (save 2.10 euro). Might just be the regular price though as no expiry indicated? Good deal anyway…
Got a 3 pin charger adapter from ebay: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/321223714422

is this just a rebadged La Crosse or just some 'look alike' knock off?

has been posted before for peoples reference
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/99693

    • yeah rebadged i think, lol didn't know it was posted before, should've searched sorry

  • How long does it take to receive orders from them. I ordered some batteries and they were shipped on 08-May. Still not received in Sydney.

    • Two weeks, back when I bought my Maha C-9000 from them/him. You'll probably get your stuff sometime next week.

Excellent seller. For anybody considering the Technoline/La-Crosse, consider paying a bit more - ok, a third more, if you can justify it - and buy the Memorex-badged Maha instead. I won't go into too much detail, but it is a considerably better built and generally more solid unit with better firmware, and also gives more accurate capacity readings.

  • What's the cheapest 'dumb' charger for the eneloop batteries? Charger is sold out. Thanks :) ✊

    • in terms of total cost of ownership, this is the cheapest option.
Dumb charger typically fry batteries within 20 charge cycles.
If that's how you want to run, you'll pick one upon ebay for about $5.

    • If you really just want a cheap dumb charger this deal will be hard to beat:

      http://www.dicksmith.com.au/batteries/eneloop-standard-charg…

It's the basic eneloop charger with 4 x AA batteries for $15 with free shipping, deal is for today only though. (It's showing as in stock as of right now.)

      • Thx for the heads up but once you click on it it says it's out of stock. Bummer.

        • Sorry about that, didn't realize you had to try and buy it to get the true stock status.

        • Fasttech (another good seller) are out-of-stock of the cheap Panasonic 4-channel smartish chargers that they usually sell (BQ-391 & BQ-392). They won't damage your batteries.

          Either will this: www.ebay.com.au/itm/390625022826
Two channels only and has a charge-rate that's a smidge high for AAA's, but similarly cheap, and also not dumb-charger nasty.

As with the other Panasonics (if you're keen, but willing to wait for stock), and also the case for any of Nkon's Euro-plug gear, you will need an AU plug adapter. As per the link in the description, $1 on Ebay.
