        I don't think it's fair that some on here got 10 while those who ordered 1 had then order cancelled. Well that's life.

          Obviously the person who sold the 10 made a mistake. I just hope that person doesn't get into too much trouble because of it. I love a bargain, but not if someone gets into trouble for it.

    • I guess the confirmations were only for stores with stock for pick up (if you picked up quick).
      If you were waiting on a delivery (to home or nearby store) then it will be a cancellation.

  • Oh well, knew it was a lottery when I ordered. Won't revoke my '+' because at least some people got it.
    In all fairness, if all price mistakes had to be ordered, no shop would dare to sell anything online.

    I got a cancellation notice about 10 minutes ago, but just now I got this:

    Your Pick Up Order is now ready for collection!

    with details…. so? Maybe will try to get it today :)

    If it has mislead you in a way to take advantage then I guess you can take further actions. Whether JB has got any publicity because of this and mislead you to believe that there is a special promotion etc.

    I had damn enough with JB hifi for this month.

    1. Bought gopro hero 3+ black advertised on their current catlogue for $499, 1 week after, DSE sell for 448, and went back to JB, they can do nothing. no price guarantee/match in their policy at all.
    2. Bought Watch dogs on Tuesday for $79 and today noticed Target sell less than 60 bucks.
    3. And today got this cannceld order.

    No more JB HiFi for me.

      1. Very few stores offer price matching AFTER a sale, i.e. a legally binding contract.
      2. Not JB's fault
      3. Pricing errors on websites occur all the time. You bought it knowing it was an error and that the likelihood of you receiving the product was next to none.

      So please stop whining and stop feeling so entitled.

    Call 0385307333 and file a FORMAL COMPLAINT, if they have accepted the offer and entered into a contract by acknoledging the offer. Only confirmation they didn't send is "delivery Confirmation" , but regardless of that they have acknowledged the transaction and cancelled them after sending you the offer confirmation.

    I guess once Consumer affairs receives these complaints , then they will decide whether JB Hi-Fi has taken advantage of marketing here. otherwise everyone can sell cars for $5 and then cancel the transaction after people have visited the website and making orders.

    Advertising means getting attention from consumers for products and services , getting publicity etc. clearly many people visited the website and spent time on ordering these items and received confirmation of the order. If you have received this order confirmation then JB can't pull that back regardless of their clause 7.1

      Their contract with you clearly allows them to rescind a sale made at any time as a result of a pricing error.

      It's not a case of misleading and deceptive conduct, e.g. advertising something for sale for a dirt cheap price to generate publicity when, in reality, you only have 10 of that item instock…..

      But anyway, good luck with the ACCC….

      • Can't recall if while submitting the order it had offered to agree to terms and conditions, which has this clause that they can cancel it in case of pricing error! Then how did we enter into such contract which they are sending in cancellation emails now?

        It may be mentioned somewhere on their website but while purchasing it didn't asked to agree to such contract.

          Fair trading practices over ride anything we agreed to when purchasing from JB.
