Would this class as some sort of copyright infringement?

    • +1

      Hi there,

I believe copyright is the wrong word as it applies to published mediums like books, movies, tv shows etc.

I believe the intellectual property Lego falls under is more like a patent which grants exclusive rights over a type of design or idea. However patents expire, which is why brands like Mega Blocks and the like which use stub and hole systems are able to exist.

Back to this case, I believe the products don't infringe on IP as the intended product is for moulds which don't actually function on stub and holes as the toys do.

I believe copyright is the wrong word

You are using the name Lego in your advertising.
That is quite likely infringing copyright and trading on their reputation.

        You title alone

"Lego Brick Silicone Mould Ice Cube Tray Chocolate Mould Cake Pop Out Mould"
would make most people assume this was a genuine Lego product.

        • I said Lego shaped, but OK i will take it out of the title

        • I don't believe Lego makes food moulds?

        • +1

Why even mention Lego if you do not intend on infringing on their name?

          just say "brick shaped"

        • The word Lego is copyrighted. Lego is an idea, a creation. Without the word lego it'll look like a retarded block with nipples.

You clearly know it is Lego related.

The comment below: Do you sell the lego men moulds?

I'm looking to get some stock soon but I currently don't have them

That is again, clearly following Lego idea's to sell products.

Approx $3.50AUD from BangGood but with a roughly 1 month wait time.

I've got some of these and they are cool novelties but they don't work very well, especially when you try to stack two to get interlocking bricks. I'd recommend a drop of food dye too because otherwise they aren't too easy to see what they are supposed to be.

How is this a bargain when you are charging 20 cents more than your usual price?

    http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/m.html?_odkw=lego&_osacat=0&_from…

    • -2

Those were my prices prior to the price rise in postage by Australia post (2 x 70c stamps instead of 2 x 60c stamps)

It is unfair to compare my own prices to myself. I believe I am the lowest priced local seller on ebay australia for these.

      • +2

That's a pretty poor excuse considering stamp prices increased exactly 2 months ago yet you've only now hiked up your own prices. Regardless, these are your everyday prices with no discount involved so I fail to see how this is any sort of a deal.

I'm pretty sure this isn't what OzBargain was intended for. Just imagine how much crap we would see if every eBay seller starting posting their everyday priced items here.

As for being the cheapest, a quick search brought up this.

    Hi OP!

Back in Jan you posted on OzBargain forums asking about "placing some orders for things I want to resell later on" on Aliexpress (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/130133). How's that working out for you?

PS. Here it is for $3.99 US on e-bay. No deal!

    • It's working out very well.

      What's this issue with this?

You do know that virtually every store buys stuff from whole sellers and on sells for profit, what's the issue with that?
