    Could you elaborate? PC Advisor, Cnet and other pretty much all other I could find gave it good reviews. None mentioned it doing harm. Was it the current version?

  I've never had good experiences with any of these sorts of utilities.
  I've tried a few and they always seem to screw up my system and twice they removed my restore points (well at least they have for me) and i've had to do a full system restore. It could just be me but i went with the default settings and didn't tweak them so you'd think i would be safe. Done it 3 times with different recommended products and struck out each time. Admittedly, i haven't used this one.

  C Cleaner has been around for years and works just fine for Windows Desktop PC's.
