  • This is the better of the two kit lenses. A steal at this price. Get the hood for it to reduce the chance of getting lens flare in strong light. A good quality multicoated UV filter also helps to cut out some haze.

  • Just sold my near new one on eBay for $150 lol

  • Thanks. Got one

  • Is it better than the lens that comes with the epm2. Can you still get good shots of people in groups or is it only for telephoto shots and does it focus and shoot as fast as out of box Olympus lens.

    • Better yes but very different. If you want to know how wide it is just zoom your kit lens out and try it out. Just as fast as the shorter kit lens to focus & shoot.

      • i think i should grab one i only paid $185 for the epm2 with 1 lens after cash back and trs so it will make it just over $300 all up with this lens.

        • Ditto.
          Thanks.

        • where did you buy for 185$?

        • digidirect had a sale it was $298 so i bought a cheap $14 sd card to put it over $300. Then $100 cash back from Olympus and $28 trs refund Made it $184….

  • is it compatible with panasonic gf series?

never mind, the answer is obviously yes.

    • +2

Yes but I wouldn't use it with a GF. This lens doesn't have OIS so it suits Olympus bodies that have in body stabilization better. Of course you can use it with the GF but at the 150mm end you may struggle to hand hold it at lower shutter speeds without OIS.

  • Was thinking about it but since Olympus Australia does not honour international warranty, I am hesitating.
    What does everyone think? Thanks

    • I have never had an Olympus lens go bad, but have heard of some of the more expensive ones go bad but after warranty anyway. My opinion unless you can find one local for under 2x this price then do it. I consider import savings to be my warranty

  • Says it doesn't deliver to my Sydney address. Anyone else have this issue?
