Crazy amount of in-app purchases. What are they actually for?

    • Only 3 kinds of IAPs
      1. remote access, no need if you use it at home
2 and 3, feature more simulation keys, drawings, etc, no need for basic use

Anyway splashtop does provide best video quality and framerate though.

Thanks poporange. Any idea how it compares with TeamViewer?

Pretty sure it's been free before: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/search/node/splashtop
Good for those that missed out.

    • Yup, I got it for free, pretty sure it's been free a number of times? At least once.

I also upgraded to the paid version. Pretty useful and handy program. The free version lets you control computers on a local network, eg at home or at work. The paid version lets you control computers on the internet, eg control your home computer while you're at work.

There's also another IAP that lets you use it like a whiteboard, I think, I haven't purchased that.

I wish they had the Mac version for free! Then I could control my home PC on the work Mac, instead of just on the iPad. It's a great program, but the screen can be a bit small and tricky to use.

So you need to spend an additional $2.49 or $21.99 to allow you to access a PC over the 'net?

Haven't used it myself, but a lot of the guys on this forum use TeamViewer. Free and can remotely access PC/mac over the net.

    • Yup.
      TeamViewer gives everything. Takes nothing.

  • But this program can stream video/tv from your pc really well..

I still prefer Teamviewer over this since it is free and no monthly subscription for remote access. Wasnt this app used to be a non-subscription model?

    • does teamviewer stream TV/movies without lag? or choppyness?
