Cheapest I've found for quality N router. Not as cheap as the Asus one, but better quality I think. These seem to go around the $200 mark on eBay and Harvey Norman.

Connecting the Belkin N Wireless Router to your cable or DSL modem lets you share your broadband Internet account with all your networked computers. The N wireless router uses draft 802.11n technology and Intelligent MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output)

Share your broadband connection with 4 wired PCs and up to 32 wireless computers. The built-in Network Status Display shows the status of your network. The icons represent each component of your network and show you whether or not each devise is working properly

  • anyone know if this has gigabit ethernet for the 4 wired ports? The belkin site doesn't have much in the way of information, nor does the dell page.

    • it looks remarkably similar to model number - F5D8236AU4 (however i'm not entirely sure because the dell system has it's own number system)
In this case, no - it would be 10/100

  • Thats still quite a bit for a wireless N router. Have you looked at brands like NETGEAR? (i've never had an issue with them)

Here is page 3 of staticice "belkin n router", there seems to be a few products there with similar prices (not sure about postage though)

EDIT: A few weeks back Myer canbera were selling wireless n routers for $50 (from memory Netgear, DLink and Asus brands), so to me the price above seems expensive..

  • This isn't a pricing error right?

    • nah, full price is $110 @ JB

    • +1

Not as far as I can see. I've ordered one and it has been up for a while on the site at this price.

      • Yeah, I saw it in a DELL flyer the other week.

        • Well it's definitely a pricing mistake then!

          PS like the hitchhikers reference..

  • belkin N (F5D8236au4)and belkin N+ (F5D8235au4) look much the same from a distance.

N+ is a newer ADSL2+ model and very fast etc etc .. usually well upwards of $170-$180 bucks at most stores.

Belkin N is older, and if u do a comparison price search there are many places that seem to have this model at a comparable price.

If this is the Belkin N, and if there are stores near you that stock it already then its not a great bargain .. but the included free postage could be the important factor for some buyers.

If this is the Belkin N+ - then it is a major bargain !!

Remember this is just a Router and not a ModemRouter combined.
You will still need to connect up the 'N' model to a modem.
