      19.99 - 19.96 = 00.03

      • +2

        Sorry… I lose track sometimes.

It was the Glitters that were $19.95 previously.

These have been 19.96 multiple times, as well as 19.98 and 19.99 multiple times.

The objective was to point out that this is there NORMAL price (range) and not really a special deal.

        • +1

I agree, but they are far and away the cheapest price and people still seem to like them.

To sell these things for $50 normally is pretty outrageous, suspect it's only done so they can claim "Save $30!"

  • Perfect timing OP, thanks! Needed three packs for a project I'm working on over the long weekend :)

    • +2

Don't think you will be receiving them before the long weekend is over…

    • Big red doomsday button?

    • +1

      no worries.

24 batteries, all rechargeable, in delightful tropical colours….. no idea. Enlighten me! (literally if you must)

      • +1

No need for the colours and would prefer the plain white but hey they'll be spending their entire lives sealed in a small die-cast box so it really doesn't matter. The cheaperer the betterer.

      • +2

        Enlighten me!

You'll need a new AA torch for that.

Click & Collected as I pass a couple of stores on my way home so no biggie. Just building up a couple of self-contained compact audio & electronic testing devices… like a true nerd :)

      • +2

Would a true nerd have a Belle?

      • Not showing as avail for click and collect.
I'd recommend you go into store and ask them to match, has anyone had luck getting stores to match the online listings?

        • +1

Hey yeah! I did order other stuff so maybe that's what I'll be collecting. No biggie either way as I have a few old NiMHs I can use whle I wait for the Eneloops to arrive.

        • I tried buying one over the counter today and was told he could only sell it for $30.. Pfft

  • +5

    Another Eneloop deal!… I'm drained

  • So a serious question as I know OB LOVES eneloops,.. are these actually good? $20 for 8 batteries seems steep? That's a lot of one shot batteries.

Also which charger should I get?

    • $20 for 8 batteries seems steep

      that's the cheapest price currently

Also which charger should I get?

      I'd recommend this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/143121

      • It seems like they have this similar deal on every Friday! If I remember correctly it was $19.96 last week including postage.

  • Yes, they are bloody good.

Buy the quick battery charger. It comes with 4 AA eneloop batteries as well.

would love to see (well… actually… smell) them emit fruit scents like the textas of yesteryear.

    • +2

Hey yeah! Maybe they could start smelling only when they're fully charged or something :)

  • +2

great timing, ordered 2 so i can pair up the oclours… i converted to rechargables in 2004, 10 years ago… i guess it was time to replace a few of the early purchased ones which r no longer holding their charges.

i really want the same deal with AAA's now…

    • I can't seem to make the leap, disposable are so cheap and effective

      • +1

Which ones do you use? How much do you pay for them? And how long do they typically last?
When I compare these to 50 cent alkalines it only takes 5 recharges to be ahead.

      • +1

Yeah, the disposables do seem far too attractive to move away from but as per 'team teri' above it really doesn't take too long to get in front with decent rechargeables from a cost perspective let alone being leaps & bounds ahead from a waste perspective!

    • Wait around a bit, the AAAs are almost certain to be on special again. Usually 2x 4packs for 19.96

I've been checking their web special page for the AAAs, appears to have been deleted. Could be running out of stock at the moment.

      • They must be out of stock as I still haven't received AAA batteries which I ordered last week. Got a message on mobile that it should be delivered before COB today. I know that because I ordered AA along with AAA and AA were delivered after couple of days.

        • I haven't recieved an update on my AAA's yet :( Waiting and waiting….. Hope they come soon.

        • Ive got the email from Dick, it is on the way via Fasttrack today.

        • I've got another email from Dick! Confirmation email that is is already delivered!
          Thanks Dick!

        • B$%STARD…

        • Mine were delivered this morning 2 :-)

    • +1

      @sachz
I wasn't going to get these as the OCD in me wouldn't like the non-matching colours.I can't believe I just didn't think to get two packs and match em up! Thanks ;P

  • damn you OP! (but thank you)

  • The day that I would like some more AAA's they're not included in the sale!
Still ended up buying these AA's though.

    • +1

Looking like they're sold out. The web special page has been removed and a few are reporting delays with delivery from the last AAA special.

  • Just to let you know that they screwed up my last order for the AAA Eneloop. They said it is on back order and there is no delivery time frame. On the day I received the back order email, I checked their website and it stated in stock….

    • Maybe go into a store (if you can see it has stock) and create a scene. Very poor form of them not to sort this out if stock is showing as still avail.

  • Over them? NEVER! thanks OP. +1 :)

    Batteries first , equipment later.

    • Batteries first , equipment never.

  • How good are these for use in remote controls and Wii remotes & accessories?

  • I put some of these in my WAHL Pro series cordless clippers and they work much better than the original NIMH batts.

  • What's the best charger?

  • Get in while you can people/
Eneloop production now moved to China.
Early reports suggest quality NOT the same.

    • Where did they used to be manufactured? Japan? Japan = quality.

  • Why not. Makes a good present for my mother.

What, you mean you haven't got your mother hooked on eneloops yet?!

    • +2

don't know about you, but I would never give my mother batteries.

      esp size C or D.

  • could some one pls post in this thread when the AAA's come up again ?

  • still valid as of 02:30am AEST
got 2 packs to match colours as said, cheers 4 that

  • These have been back up to $49.99 since around 9am EST. Expired.

I realised too late that I needed more AA's

I guess I can wait a few days til the next deal..

  • I know deal is expired and probably nobody will respond to this. But how good are these for digital cameras as the capacity is "only" 2000 mAH as compared to other batteries that are usually around 2400 mAH. Even the cheapest rechargeable battery that I have (chamelion) is at 2100 mAH and trust me, Chamelion is solid as gold…keeps going on and on and on with countless recharges

  • eneloops are so OzB that they shouldnt even classify as a deal, its never far from a price dip back down to this price
