Will get this if it hits $400.

    • have a look on gumtree. There will probably be a fair few people who bought the dual monitor package and want to offload one

I will. Don't know why people neg my comment.
I can not justify spending 500+ on a monitor. Just a statement. I would rather spend on an i7+mobo upgrade with my 27inch viewsonic($260).

        • Monitors (along with keyboard/mouse) are one the of the few things you dont skimp out on, especially since thats what you will be seeing and viewing.

Buying a high end monitor is an investment, and not uncommon to own one of these monitors for 5+ years.

Ive got a pair of Dell UP32's (4k) and it totally transforms your user experience. Certainly a step up from my old Dell U2711.

        • You probably can not know what is my experience and what I use.
I am on linux with 4 screens (workspaces) available all the time. I hardly use the mouse unless I am surfing.

  • I am very doubtful of the quality of these monitors. I have 3 and so far, the Display port has failed in one (replaced under warranty) and another has lost the USB/Car reader and now the DP (going to be replaced) all in under a year. Having a failure rate of 2 out of 3 screens is annoying. I cannot complain about the warranty service from Dell as they replaced it without issues.
I had the 24" model for 7 years without problem, until the power supply popped.

    • Oh wow, you must have got a shite batch.

Mine have been rock solid since the day I got them.

Could always be sub-standard power from your house… I have a room in my house that will kill any electronics I plug in there within about 6 months.

      • I have one at home that has done the DP and USB and 2 at work, where one has done a DP.
It seems the Display Port problem is common as is the USB problem.

        • My 2 have been rock solid as well, not a single issue!

Can't find anything in forums or google where DP and USB failures are even mentioned for these Dell monitors ?? Any links

  • I am the poster of the privious dual dell monitor deal.

and I am very happy about my purchase!

If you are using you computer a lot,

get this you will not regret.

getting I7, for normal day-to-day use ,you will not notice a difference,

    and this , you will.

  • How are these for video watching? Do they look better or worse than native 1080p screens. Any other thoughs on useability for movies, streaming video etc? Thanks, last day of deal tomorrow!
