I've been using CamScanner Pro for a while now, it's absolutely brilliant for scanning documents on the go! If you sign up to the CamScanner website with an .edu email address it will automatically unlock pro features for your account! I believe it's usually $4.99.

Pro Features are:
1. Ad-free
2. Watermark-free
3. Unlimited annotations
4. Extra 200M cloud space (400mb total)

CamScanner is available for Android, iPhone, iPad and Windows Phone 8.

  I logged in with an EDU address … actually an EDU.AU address but no luck so far in getting PRO for free.

    Worked fine for me, upon confirming your email you should get another email like this.
