Hmm, lots of uninspiring reviews: http://reviews.logitech.com/7061/4251/logitech-ls21-2-1-ster…. I was thinking of getting a set also but maybe not.

anyone tried price matching at Offic…

      nevermind.

      • In my Experience office works can overprice things depending on what your after. Cables are pretty bad for example.

  • +3

hiss noise once you power it up.
    avoid if possible

    • +1

3 sets here, no hiss whatsoever… Quite good sound for budget speakers.

      • +2

I have a set here on the kids computer - definitely has a 'hiss' noise in the background.

      • +4

High Frequency Pitch audibility declines with age. This i have seen.

        • Lol,are you implying bazzaa is an old man/woman?

    • +1

Didn't know these speakers came with a free snake inside the sub, bargain!

  • +1

for $15 its probably worth a shot - if they're crap just return them

  • +4

For $15 it's a decent set of speakers. I've got a set I paid twice that for and they are still going strong. Obviously not the best sound you're ever gonna get but for $15 I would recommend them.

  • +7

i got a pair a while back, sub woofer is really just a normal woofer you won't be rattling any windows or floor boards with bass, ok for pc, not really for tv, but hey, if you use the built-in speakers in a laptop/ultrabook/tablet etc this is still a huge improvement!

  • save your time & money! these speakers blurt out piss & farts. Unless all you need them for are DINGS from Windows 3.11.. buy something else… Workmate removed about 40 units from a client upgrade… straight into st vinies. even those $10 speakers (with usb power) u get from the gift shops kicks these!..

    • +3

pm if u want a free one & live roundabouts caroline springs.. passing by there tomorrow for a job..

  • wow thats a steal !!

  • +3

I won't neg, but a) I've seen these available for $10 at Crazy Clark's like 4 years ago and b) they're some of the worst speakers I've ever used. I re-sold mine for $5 because they were incredibly quiet, crackly, and hardly what I was expecting being a Logitech product.

  • I've got some and I really like them for the $28 I paid

  • Mine broke, so now only the left speaker works.

  • +2

I have these and these are ok for gerneral use, but nothing spectacular. Certainly would spend a bit more for better sound.

  • +2

Complete rubbish speakers even for $15 spend a bit extra to get a half decent pair.

  • +1

I bought mine for the double the price, had no issues though and would recommend as the cheap speakers they are.

  • +2

None left on shelf @ Pitt St.

  • +2

Thats all they are worth tbh still grab a pair if you dont have any at all just dont exspect anything epic or anything.

  • I'm using this speaker, and it's ok.

  • They are ok for uni students. I got one a few years ago (paid $20ish while a mate paid $40 at JB) and still works fine. Does the job to play music or watch a movie. Only downside was that the cables are bloody messy and tangles everywhere and can't be unplugged from both ends when packing.

Also in the catalogue is the $59 Mia coffee machine with the capsules. I can't find it on their website anymore lol

  • Would be good as tv speakers if all you currently have is the crappy built in TV speakers

  • +3

Subwoofer hums in standby. Not that loud, not much bass

However its $15 guys/gals, stop whinging. I paid $30 on special a few months ago

    • +8

      Subwoofer hums in standby.

That's OK, as long as it learns the words by the time it gets turned on…

  • +1

Ppl are always comparing these to tge best, worst comparison really, for this price u won't find better, and these Are pretty good on anything, even the tv

  • +7

    Hey my speakers :)

These are quite good by the way - good bass too. If you're an elitist audiophile douche then clearly you will be looking for something else, but if you want something cheap that makes decent noise and doesn't sound like a tinny piece of sh1t these are truly awesome.

Please how can 14watts total peak power possibly sound good, oh wait 1.5watts each out of those awesome speakers and then you have the MASSIVE 4 watts out of that subby, hell yeah we be partying all night long, you don't need to be an audiophile douche to work out these speaker are rubbish even with the massive pumping watts they throw out.

Yeah your right though I cut the exhaust off my Datsun and now my car sounds a good as a Porsche, those race car noobs don't know what they are missing.

      • why do all the best comments get negged? lol

personally i think Logitech spent TOO MUCH on the quality of these speakers, as it is crystal clear that most bottom-feeding folks could not tell the difference if the speakers where even on or not. They just want a plastic box with some wires. Whether they work, or produce any intelligible sound, is unimportant.

  • +4

Did anyone else read the "new everyday price" in the ad = no need to rush in there are boat loads coming in at this price, wait for the next batch if you miss out.

  • Goa

  • Any deals on ls11

  • +2

It's amazing how people carry on so much on this site about sound quality when it comes to headphones but are more than happy to use these absolute waste of space speakers.

  • +4

Personal experience: if you just need a / any speaker, this will do. Otherwise, this is rubbish. Had one, threw away. In fact, any speaker I had (even cheapy) is still better than this Logitech one.

    • Yeah,I chucked them too a couple of years ago. In my opinion, it's even not better than the in-built TV speaker.

  • Looks ok for $15… Could I plug the sub into my XtremeMac soundbar? Its just a single RCA plug…

  • +1

S.mouse uses this for his studio while making tracks, must be good

  • I bought this about a year ago for $20. Decent sound and great value for money. Still working fine today.
A really neat feature is the separate little device (for adjusting the volume, on/off and plugging in the headphones) so it means I can position the speakers as I like and still have easy access to all the functions.
And definitely no hiss sound for my set!

  • Soniq TV speakers vs. this?

    • This Id suspect. My soniq only has optical out, not standard earphones 3.5mm. I think these speakers only have 3.5mm in. Id happily be corrected though!

  • For those who are experiencing hiss, I'd definitely make sure its not coming from your audio source, try unplug the audio jack and see if its still hisses

  • Good spare speakers for the garage.

    • I read that as "for the garbage" due to some of the opinions posted here!

  • I coupled these with my pc around 6 years ago now and they are going strong still. Have a small loungroom and just need a bit more beef to your tv sound with buying an AV reciever? Go for it. Don't expect the world, but for $15 it is definitely worth it.

  • Can't believe some places sell this for $50+
    http://www.joycemayne.com.au/logitech-ls21-2-1-stereo-speake…

  • i just bought a pair to play dota 2 with so i can give my ears a break from headphones. very satisfied with the price and output. the sound isn't flash, but for $15 it does what i require

  • Bought one for the office…speakers as a flashy paperweight, and the sub goes under the table for a footrest, bargain!

  • Sold out at North Ryde officeworks :(

  • Bought mine at Brookvale. Still 3 or 4 on the shelf when I got there.

  • Got a set from my brother. Excellent for the price.
