    Full HD? Wouldn't 1366 x 768 be HD, and need to down scale FHD (1920 x 1080)?

      refer here,

      http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1080p

      http://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-19LH20-lcd-tv

      for a 18.5" led tv, 1366 x 768 is a Full HD.

Sounds like weasel words, full HD to me is 1920x1080 regardless of screen size.
My Nexus 5 is FHD on a 5" screen. By your theory what would that be, 640x480?

jemichae, you are correct. 1366x768 (along with 1280x720) are considered only High Definition. Full High Definition is 1920x1080 Progressive scan. So this TV is not Full HD.

Technically 1366 x 768 is HD and 1920 x 1080 is Full HD no matter the size of the TV. It's the amount of pixels on the screen. This TV is not full HD so it's a false advertisement on the part of Target.

  • I've been looking at this for a while, would it be too small for a bedroom? For viewing from one side of the room to the other?

18.5" is tiny for a TV it would want to be quite a small room. I'm using a 32" in a bedroom. I wouldn't go any lower than a 32" TV for a bedroom.

      • thanks, i have a small spot on a shelf to fit a tv and the biggest i can fit is a 22 inch. For the price i thought maybe i could compromise with the size…wish i had an actual shop here that i could see it in person! (only have country target)

Well then you could go with this 18.5 inch TV since the space is limited to 22 inch max but i wouldn't recommend it. But i'm just saying most computer monitors are bigger than 18.5 inch so it will be quite a small TV. Although If you can fit a 22 inch TV then i'd suggest a 21.5 inch TV. There is a Dick Smith 21.5 inch TV from Dick Smith for $198 with free delivery and it's spec'd as full HD 1920x1080 although a lot good that does for a TV that size.

You'll cry with a 18.5 inch TV it's just so small. It will be like trying to watch TV on a screen size just a tad larger than a laptop screen.
