    Perfect keyboard for a HTPC.

    • Mildy irritating keyboard to use. Up arrow key is between the shift and / keys. Constantly hitting arrow up instead of a question mark. Trackpad works well. Battery life is good.

You type question marks a lot on your HTPC?

I think if you're doing a lot of typing you'd be far better off with a regular full sized keyboard.

      • I don't think this keyboard was designed to be used as a full size keyboard you use at a desktop

I've used one of these for a few years on my hp microserver htpc. I'd buy another in a heart beat.

    • I've been thinking about getting one for a while. How far is the usable range on this?

      • "Up to 10m (33 ft) wireless range"

        • yep, saw that in the description. not interested in "up to" stats on the side of the box

My father's htpc keyboard starts dropping out past about 3 metres when the battery is no longer fully charged (but nowhere near flat). So I hope that helps a little? I doubt it'd make the full 10…

I ended up buying one for myself as my living room is less than 3 metres anyway, and noticed it comes with a small usb wireless connector as well as a USB range extender which would make it extend as far as they claim. My old man, didn't plug his in cause he thought it was just an adapter if the USB ports are crowded.

So I retract my previous claim…

Also works wonders with mac os x also as I'm turning my old macbook into a HTPC.

        • ahh that's what the bigger dongle is. I thought it was just a USB passthrough for people who were short of USB ports.

      • I put the 'extender' in with the category of certain other 'extensions' that you often see in e-mails. ;)
Is it just a cable or not? (Waiting on my order to arrive…)
