Received email from Pinchme with $15 voucher for The Home homewares/sales site. Bought wine glass set for $4.95 with voucher, paid with PayPal, was not charged for shipping (usually $9.95). Not sure if this is part of voucher promo, or some website glitch. Happy with my set of 6 crystal Stolzle wine glasses for $4.95 all up!
Voucher has now (18/06/14) been revised to $30 minimum spend.

          But if they are like/affiliated to ozsale, i predict they will do this.

          my friend works in a marketing company and ive heard him talk of similar events

          It also happened on ozbargain too with a deal in which they claimed "the promo code was leaked on to a forum ….." , but cant remember which one it was

          EDIT: The $10/$20 myer vouchers was the one that got cancelled due to it being leaked on ozbargain

          I think it is rubbish to talk about 'leaking' information that is sent in an open email, hardly a private or secure form of communication. A bit like putting open flyers in people's letter boxes with their names on them, other people are going to see that.

          so basically you are saying that it is ok to potentially abuse a company because they are being generous and giving you a free voucher to spend.

          Yes it is nice to get a freebie every now and then. Some companies can afford to honor deals i.e. we just saw julius marlow honor the $10 FREE thongs, and JB Hifi honor the $29 sony portable chargers. Other companies not much so, as we all know that the retail industry in Australia is not at its best and something like this can have financial implications on the company itself especially if its already struggling and many jobs can be cut/lost on the short/long term.

          So Kudos to TheHome.com.au if they honor the deal. And if they dont, well we've been in that situation before around here @ ozbargain.

        voucher apparently has been made invalid. When you proceed to payment, says "We're sorry, but the Promo Code you have entered appears to be incorrect"

        Not sure I agree. They got 3.5k clicks from OzBargain but PINCHme have 111k facebook likes and presumably many more on their email database.

    I don't know why you think they'd let me keep referral credits for cancelled sales? I don't think there's any way that will happen. Fingers crossed they honour everyone's deals. I'm not complaining about the credits! But I received far fewer referrals than votes, so I'd say it's less than you might think :) I'm more chuffed to have a top deal on OzB, my first time, and to get lots of people here a nice bargain. I know what it's like to have to be careful with money, so it's nice to have the odd treat!

    The response:

    We run flash sales in order to achieve great pricing by placing one large group order, but this does mean orders take about two weeks to arrive as they are not ordered until the sale ends. The trade off for extreme discounts I’m afraid!

    I reckon they failed to list/charge the shipping fee on checkout is their problem, and they have to pay the price for the mistake. We're only consumers! If they did all that to get more leads & advertising, it would be misleading, isn't it?

          I can't remember there being any shipping info advertised on the Stolzle sale at the time, so maybe they are honouring these. I didn't buy Bormioli but perhaps if shipping was advertised but not applied, they cancelled these ones?
