    picked up a skylanders bundle from bigw this arvo for 198.. had to ask at the counter, and was told they only had 3 left.

    guy brought out the box which said "SALE 26/6/14". i questioned the date and he said not to worry about it.

    good luck for those who are waiting for the 26th lolz

    Remember you can price match the Kmart deal at big w if there's no more at Kmart.

    Price matching policies has changed at Big W. We can't call the competitors if they have stock. The only downside to the price matching policy is we can't price match if they're having a promotion and we're not, but fortunately in this case, we are.

    Hmm I didn't have too much luck today. Went to two different stores to get the skylanders bundle. First store, guy wouldn't sell it to me. Said he sold one and got in trouble. Said he can't sell it until the 26th and that they only have 3 in stock lol.

    The next store, the girl didn't know what I was talking about. Reckons they don't have any in stock :(. Might try a couple of other stores tomorrow.

    Went to two stores today looking for the 12GB PS3 + Minecraft bundle.

    Both stores refused to scan it through when asked, although the second said it "would scan through at the normal price". How she knew that is a mystery :P

    The Marion store also wouldn't tell me how many they had in stock, other than "plenty". Cumberland Park apparently had 29.

    Almost had to turn on the waterworks to get Southland Big W to sell me one this afternoon.

    They have removed the skylanders bundle from the display case and there's a notice to not sell it to anyone until the 26th in the storeroom.

    After a bit of negotiating they offered to sell it to me for $198 but not with the additional 3 figurines.

    Sold!

    (I still consider it a bargain and wasn't going to take my chances with the Kmart deal on the 26th)

    After all that my unit is DOA, stuck on boot screen :(

    Anyone tried trading in the Skylanders Swap Force stuff into EBgames? The little figurines don't come in their own box, just a plastic frame, so unsure if they would take it.

        Wow $18 is criminal. Jezzzzza's is better but still. If you can be bothered the Game is going for $20, Gold Wash Buckler $25~, Portal $20, Other Figures $15, Nintendo Land $25~ (on ebay though). Brings the Wii Console down to $100~ or sub $100 with Kmarts offer.

      I pick up the bundle with Mario Kart 8 and Super Mario 3d world in Warringah Mall, NSW yesterday too. The staff says there are a few left over.

      I think you will be able to do it, but be prepared for it to be really busy on Thursday. I think they are opening at 7AM!

      The BIGW I visited wouldn't sell me the bundle or games in advance of the sale so I placed all the bits and pieces on laybuy for pickup tomorrow. It cost me $2, but saved me a bit of hassle and risk missing out if stocks are low.

    I noticed the deal is available on the Big W website now - https://m.bigw.com.au/entertainment/video-games-consoles/wii… . Unfortunately it's only available for layby for November delivery, so unlikely to be appealing for too many folks I'm guessing.

    My local Big W opened on Midnight, there was a big line in there, but luckily, I was the first to get a Wii U and I got the Mario Kart 8 (both as gift) and Mario World 3D (for me) just for get measure.

    After doing the school/childcare run I thought there was no chance of any being left, but called BigW (Doncaster) and they said "1 or 2 left" so headed in. So I bought a couple of weeks ago, then realised the 26th would have a bonus triple pack of Skylanders, managed to get the last one in store today, and can now return the WiiU on the first receipt. Wasted a bit of time in the whole process, but didn't lose out on money which is a relief. Grabbed MK8 too :D

    Picked up the Skylanders console bundle at Big W (Stafford) this morning. I also got MK8 for $58. Pretty happy :D. I've had a PS3 for the last 5 years or so but just really missed Nintendo games having also previously owned a N64 and NES when I was younger. With these great prices, it seems like a great time to jump back on board.
