Viva Macau are offering fares for $276 one way, $583 return inclusive of tax until 31 July, for the travel period of 1 August to 17 December.
They are also also offering reasonably-priced flight + hotel packages. For example, return flights and a 3 day/4 night stay at a 4-star hotel (with breakfast) are quoted as starting from $472 (+ $360 in taxes), for holidays between now and 29 September. WORD of warning though, bring your own food onboard when leaving Oz, the food they have onboard is terrible and overpriced.
If anyone is looking for accommodation I can highly recommend the Lisboa (the original old one, there is now a new much more expensive one next door).
The Original Lisboa
1) It is within walking distance of everything (Venetian is miles away from no where)
2) It has free movie channels (including adult, if you care for that)
3) There is FREE wireless internet in every room
4) THE MINI BAR IS FREE - (YES everything in there inc booze is free)
A few review sites complain about prostitutes in the lobby etc, don't worry they are attractive asian girls in their 20's clutching expensive handbags - and I think they add to the opulent atmosphere as they're dressed in cocktail wear from 7am onwards (its not a sleazy dive as some reviews lead you to believe, everything is coated in gold leaf or black marble and it reminded me of an old James Bond Movie set)
Oh yeah - its also cheap, and about $40 will get you a jet ferry ride over to Hong Kong !
The place isn't quite Las Vegas, but its getting there, Hong Kong and China are day trips - Any fence sitters out there DO IT !!
Just don't be in Macau on a weekend - it gets crowded with HK-ers, and prices double.
A word of warning..
Be prepared for flight cancellations/re-scheduling and a 4 month + wait on a refund
Earlier this year, DH booked flights for his parents, and they changed the time of the flights to land in Macau at 3am in the morning, with a "surprise" stop over in Jakarta for 2 hours. (I assume it wasn't a full flight so they combined flights). The original flight was meant to arrive in Macau at 7pm. Apparently, Viva Macau notified everyone of this re-scheduling via email on a Sunday night.
On the following monday, DH repeatedly called the Australian #, where it either rang out or was hung up on. He was even more agitated so he went directly to their office at Merrylands, and was told that he could get a refund. The girl there said that she will try and do the refund immediately but it will normally take around 3 months as that was their policy (after giving their normal runaround to get you to change dates etc..) In reality, it took well over 4 months+, and that was with constantly trying to chase them up. DH even complained to the Office of Fair Trading.
The Merrylands office (their only office in Australia) has apparently closed down and there is NO Australian number. When you ring, it will get diverted to a Vietnamese call center and they will give you a huge run-a-round if you want to speak to a supervisor or team leader, so you cannot escalate any matters you have further. It was a really bad experience and DH has vowed never to fly with Viva Macau. We'd rather pay a couple hundred $ more on a reputable airline than get stuffed around again
If you want to fly with them, all i say is DO NOT Prepay your hotel bookings or have any connecting flights and make sure your travel dates are flexible

Viva Macau doesn't even have an Australian contact number.
I've been waiting for refunds for 6 months, which is 2 month beyond their guarantee. I've tried to find their local contact number, but I failed.
I sent them emails to ask for refund, but I didn't get any reply.
I will lodge this matter to ACCC and it's also a warning for all other travellers, if you are not 100% sure about your itinerary,don't book with them, they don't have local customer service number.
Ouch. I guess its worth the surcharge to pay by credit card, so you can do a charge-back.
Yes I had the same trouble with Viva Macau - they double booked me and a friend back to January this year and they still have not refunded us. We have been given the chase around for over 7 months now and they have only replied our emails once telling us to be more patient.
Also they would not even let us bring on the water we had bought inside the airport terminals when we boarded the plane from Macau, and had our tickets rescheduled with only a very short notice (had to rebook all our hotels etc)!
I would definitely pay abit more for a better airline next time.
