  • Comes up $448 for me.

I really want a good special on the TX300. 128GB SSD in tablet, 320/500GB HDD in dock. Full HD. Core i5. 4GB RAM. Be still, my heart.

    • oops revised it now :)

    • A friend has a TX300 and has had sooo many disappointments with it that it's not funny. Also its oversized for a tablet at 13", heavy, and he is seriously thinking of downgrading to a T100. His version is the i7 but it is speed handicapped and doesn't seem that fast at all.

        This makes me sad.

  • Got one.

  • Anyone got the 5% price beat on this at officeworks?

    • Yes, I just did. Final price was $403.20.

      • how did you get OW to beat it by 10%?

OW standard 5% price beat would bring it down to $425.60

        • +2

Yeah, I was expecting that price too. Receipt says:

          SYT100TA81 $403.20
          ASUS T100TA 10 W8.1T Z3740 4
          Price Override-Competitor Price
          Price Guarantee -$44.80
          Competitor Price $448.00
          =======
          TOTAL $403.20

Also, in case you were wondering, brand new in box, seals still on everything etc. Not ex-demo or customer return.

          lucky you!

      • Congratulations! Also, thanks from a fellow consumer who likes to see big companies held to their 'promise'.

    Could price match at Officeworks!

One could. However, I would rather 'Price Beat' at OfficeWorks.

  • Learn from my fail - CALL Officeworks before going.

I checked stock at all Melbourne CBD Officeworks stores back in this deal. None of the three actually had stock they could sell, just returns that they couldn't sell.

Besides that I'm quite happy with my T100 (that I just ended up buying from MYS)

It's those inspirational comments that keep me coming back here.

  • I don't understand why this model is still over $400 ($428). It does not have the HDD in the keyboard. Next model could have an SSD in the tablet itself.
