whats the 5 star rating for?
i want to know if its genuine or not

  • -4

Xiaomi is a very famous and popular brand in China with very good reputation.

  • Hey OP, noticed you bought one fromhttps://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144173#comment-2050710

    Has it been processed yet?

This is way more expensive haha

    • +1

No it hasnt. I am trying to cancel that purchase.
I'd rather pay more to get it sooner.

      • +1

Thanks for the reply! (Noticed the rep hasn't been online after that deal).

      • How did you "try" to cancel the purchase?

  • +4

Seems like a fake site, it doesn't seem like xiaomi.com.
    They might sale generic products.
As far as I know, many ppl hate xiaomi in China….

  • @Rep -Are you authorised dealer for Xiaomi and will the warranty on product will be as per Australian requirements e.g. Phone warranty for 2 years?

    • OP isn't a rep and this store doesn't yet have a rep registered here. You'll probably have to email or contact them via social media to chase down answers.

      • my bad..

    • We have a direct buying relationship with Xiaomi. We provide Australian warranty for everything we sell. We're currently going through the process of paying to have all the Xiaomi phones we sell put though A-Tick certification. Everything we sell is 100% genuine. We even went to china to meet with Xiaomi to tell them of our plans. Whilst we aren't an official dealer, Xiaomi don't have any except for Indonesia and I believe the Philippines as well. At this stage they have no immediate plans to enter the Australian market.

      • Can you confirm that the powerbanks are genuine?

        • Absolutely. We only sell genuine Xiaomi products. Everything is purchased directly from Xiaomi.

Also, check out the Australian IT section on Tuesday, they're reviewing a Mi3 from our store at the moment.

        • I'm interested in the powerbanks but the price is much higher than:https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/144173#comment-2068290

Any chance of a deal rep?
You would get plenty of attention if you posted as a rep with a deal and confirmed it's genuine!

        • The price we have listed now is our deal price which finishes at the end of the month. Unfortunately we can't go any lower. We provide genuine Australian warranties and support, as well as have to charge GST, so there's inherit costs in doing this.

        • Thanks for the reply.

Ended up buying from you because your site was very user friendly!

Just a query… I made an account as well as ordered but received no email even though I was meant to get one from account creation.

        • Got the email!

        • I just purchased. Hope shipping is quick.

        • They're out of stock (locally) and awaiting a new shipment.

        • Dammit, you serious? Reckon it will arrive in the next couple of weeks?

        • Just an update, we have a shipment of about 100 batteries on their way via Air Freight. We're expecting them to land this week. We sold out of our local stock much quicker than we had anticipated. We'll be shipping out orders waiting as soon as these arrive via Express Post.

        • Thanks for the update captainjez. I hope mine arrives before I leave on holiday.

        • Please update if possible when it'll be ready!
          Was hoping for Thursday :(

        • Hey guys. We're pushing it as fast as possible. Customs are a bit finicky with 100 lithium ion batteries coming in but we don't expect any delays. We're hoping it'll clear and be at our office on Friday and we'll then dispatch it all. We were really taken back by the demand, so thank you to everyone who purchased!

        • I ordered on the 20th (10400mah) and it still says awaiting shipment.. Do you have an estimate? :(

        • We're really sorry for any delays. The shipment is landing today and we'll be getting everything shipped out early next week.

        • Did you manage to get receive your shipment today without any problems?

        • The shipment is here and we'll be sending everything out starting Monday.

        • Great to hear and thanks for keeping us informed!

        • Hi captainjez - did you manage to send out all units today?

        • We sent out about half today and rest in the morning. Lots to get through!

        • Cool looks like mine has shipped, thanks!

        • That's great! We've sent everything Express Post this evening, so expect to get it Wednesday. We've got more stock on its way as well to replenish including RedMi Notes, Red Rice 1S and MiPads.

        • Got it this morning, appreciate the great communication!

        • Same got mine this morning, thanks!

10,400mah is SG$14 on their website?!

  • why XiaoMi? You should go for one of this http://www.amazon.com/LUXA2-EnerG-10400mAh-Portable-Charger/… as they made great product.

    • Have you tried this particular product???

      • I did not try this as I don't need it atm but I have other products from them. Thermaltake is its parent company.

    • Cost you 20-30 bucks to ship from State to Aus mate.

      • +1

cost only 10$ to ship to Melb.

      • usually small items only cost less or with in 10-15 USD.
        8 USD to Melbourne.

  • I was surprised to find that the supposedly genuine Romoss Sailing 4 cannot charge my phone faster than I can use the battery - the phone kept shutting down on me. When I plug it into a wall charger this does not happen. Are my expectations of this technology too high? Surely the output from a wall charger and this device should be the same?

    • Nope.. A battery powered unit will usually have a much lower Amp rating. Similar reason as to why iPad's won't charge off regular chargers - not enough grunt!

Saying that, I don't remember seeing any amp ratings on any of these batteries ….

      Something like this would be nice;
      https://www.myinnergie.com/productdetail.php?productid=188

      • The Romoss Sailing 4 comes with two USB outputs. One is rated at DC5V 1A and the other is rated at DC5V 2.1A.
My iPhone 4S takes 1.4A and the charger is 1A, so the 1A output of the Romoss should be used.
I wasn't getting enough in from the 2.1A output to keep the phone on.

        • Then that is very strange… It should be working with those kinds of output ratings!

          Possibly the cable??

        • Possibly user error. I may not have pushed the button on the Romoss to tell it to charge. I will try it again.

        • Well, mixed results. I tried again this morning and was able to use the phone for longer than I expected to be able to given its original charge, but the phone still died.
The instructions say something about the Romoss stopping charging after an amount of time and to push the button again… so the phone may have run down during this stoppage.
But what a weird thing to do - why stop charging after a <30 minute period of time?
It can't fully recharge something if it is going to cut out in that time frame.

  • Is it the official XiaoMi Australia store? So can I return XiaoMi faulty goods?

  • Hi All,

If you have any family or friends stay in singapore and coming to Australia from Singapore, ask them to buy from:

It's AUD$25 plus free shipping at Banggood.com. I have nothing but positive experience from them even with the $13 Eachine power bank recall where they refunded my money but allowed me to keep the product.

    • Same here. They may ship slow but from my experience seem honest. They refunded me back my money for the power bank as well and I too got to keep the product

    • I bought the Eachine power bank too and luckily got the refund because it can only hold charger for 1 day. You must be the lucky few that received a good working one.

  • XiaoMi official website is www.mi.com
    Others are scam.

    XiaoMi's products are fairly good.

  • Got my powerbank this morning, thanks captainjez. Charging now! :)

    • That's awesome! Hope you enjoy it. It'd be great if you could post up a review on the website for us :)

  • If someone has a 1A device (like an iPhone 4S), I would appreciate knowing if you can charge it from this powerbank faster than the battery is used up (e.g. browsing email / facebook / bluetooth headset usage for playing back music).
Start with the device battery empty, start charging it a little. Turn it on when you can. Start using it. Does the device go off again soon afterwards (say within 10 minutes)?
