By looking at your avatars, I reckon there are some connections between you two.

    • I'd like to know what the source on this post looks like. Is there a way to do that?

  • Just got an email with special VIP sale preview invitation for tomorrow night, (Tuesday, 24th).

Basically the sale starts the evening before 25th, at all shops are open between 6pm and 9pm.

  • "Half price toy sale at ToysRus from 25th June to 15th July"

And Target's big sale starts 23rd July.

Just an FYI. My first year buying for kids.

Had my first kid in July 2012.

Before having kid: "Toy catalogues? Straight to the bin!"
After having kid: "Give me all the catalogues!"

  • Any discount on ps4?

I may be 20 but I still get excited when there is a toy sale. The poor inner child screams within!

Wish Toys R Us sold Magic Cards.

    • Whenever target has a big % off toys sale their magic cards are usually included, but thats only 2 may be 3 times a year. If you want cheap magic, buy singles, or try UK webstores like Waylandgames.co.uk
even better when they have a sale e.g recently got 2 theros event decks for $30 delivered. (yes they post sealed content unlike US distributors)

  • Anyone familiar with trampolines?

I assume quality comes with a cost, and that some of these too good to be true $175 jobs are unlikely to see out more than a year or two before starting to tear / break / rust?

Can anyone recommend a trampoline that will survive the Australian outdoor elements and give a good 5 years service?

    • I bought that very Toys r Us trampoline (although maybe the 10ft one?). Anyway, its outdoors in Canberra so everything from -10 to 40C, rain and hail, the possums love it (not sure what for…) and the kids use it a lot. Its now probably 6yrs old, or so. Still in excellent conditions, the netting is sagging a little bit but not much and mostly thats due to the kids throwing themselves against it (but still safe), the pads are still pretty good (a bit stained due to the possums) and the springs and mat are fine. No rust. It is under a tree so doesnt get very much direct sunlight, which is probably an important thing.

Whether its exactly the same quality 6 yrs on, who knows; but certainly it has lasted for me despite minimal care.

Its $175, I mean if you get 2yrs out of it the its still a bargain, but you will probably get more. Its certainly a step or two below Vuly; but for me it was a great buy

  • Check out the Vuly trampolines if you want quality. Up front cost is higher, but you get cheaper spares so should last as long as you want it to.

My kids are all under 4, so I bought the thunder and it is ridiculously well made, but you'd expect that for $1500. Hoping it will last till they move out.

    • thanks

      • Vuly worked with the 20% off voucher for this weekend

So it's not everything half price eh? Thot when the sis in law came running telling us everything toys r us is 50% off TOMORROW ONLY, she's was either a big fat liar or too dumb to have read the fine print like her usual self with everything else she does in her life.
