    • +1 for the LOL. There's no limit on how many you can order so basically it is taking any (min $10) deposit amount with 0% interest.

    • Dick Bank serving tightarses

    • -2

Is Dick Bank also taking sperm deposits?

  • can can.. not..resist .. argh.. bought it

  • Gee after 400 odd extra sold i thought this limited quantity it'd be sold out by now. Keep it coming they need your $10 money loans.

Stock control system playing up much.

    • +1

Don't think DSE will make much out of our interest free loan after ebay and paypal fees.

  • +1

    MORE HEADPHONES!!! great I bought 2 :D

  • 1500 sold, do they really have that muh in stock? And how are these
    Compared to dr headphones?

    • +1

      $240 cheaper for starters

  • bought, thx op

  • +1

    Got them for $8 …

  • Just got one for $8

  • Just bought one for $8. Thanks OP and everyone!

  • +1

So why is this still selling when it's been limited quantity available since yesterday and several hundred orders later. I thought limited quantity didn't mean several hundred items.

  • Not sure if I'll get one but just purchased 2 and no Paypal error. Hopeully it comes ;)
PS got a positive feedback from them in 1 min lol, ahahaa oh Dick

  • Thank OP. Just order 3. Good gifts for friends.

  • I thought this deal was one per customer, are you able to buy more than one and get 20%off them both?

  • -1

I bought it this morning for $10, NOOOOOO!!!!!

  • +1

Don't know why I bought one but I just bought one… I'm officially OzBrainwashed

  • Purchased at lunch time today and I already have eBay feedback from Dick.
"Good buyer, prompt payment, valued customer, highly recommended."
So I must be getting it.

    • +1

Lol I got the exact same thing.. Took them a minute right after I payed.
Can they give us a positive feedback and not ship the items lol, would be funny

    • It's an automated computer script bot that left you that feedback. I wouldn't rely on that. It doesn't mean that you're getting it. You and hundreds of others would have got that exact same feedback message.

I find it hilarious that after a full day of being in "limited quantity remaining" mode and hundreds of orders later that it's still on sale and taking orders and money. As if the system isn't over selling and the person who's in charge of the dick smith online ebay store probably hasn't been at work on the weekend. I can't see them having over 885 item units as limited quantity. Because that's how many has been sold in the past 24 hours.

After the recent Pioneer SE-MJ711 headphone overselling and refund debacle i don't trust their stock control system.

  • damn it, bought this headphone for $10 yesterday.

  • Thanks Op
    Still code works

  • They have finally ended this listing after 2469 sales!!

    • Really i didn't think they'd have that much stock, or maybe they don't. Coincidence that they put a stop to the sales on a monday morning when the person in charge of Dick Smith ebay store gets back into work. I still think the stock control system went haywire and over sold. Why else would the auction be ended by the seller himself because of no longer available, they just realised the system was over selling. I reckon it actually sold out the other day on saturday when it did sell out that first time.

I'd be expecting a cancellation email in a few days if they did severely over sell.

      • I hope they're ready for the barrage of negative ebay feedback it they do..

        • Depends what they offer as 'make good'

  • Yep I bet they sold out after maybe 200-300 units. Hopefully EVERYONE that dosnt get them leaves a negative.

  • I purchased one of these and 2 pairs of the iluv earphones yesterday. Received confirmation that the iluv items have been sent but no word on the headphones. I'm thinking I will be receiving a paypal refund for $8 any day now.

    • Same here, ordered some earphones and got confirmation they were sent out but nothing for the headphones

  • Tax invoice received for my second order (on the discounted price)!

  • Hi,

A little confused if any one can help?

Just received my invoice from DSE for these and it shows as $10

this is my account from Paypal

PIONEER Street Move Over-Ear Headphones White SEMJ511W
    Item number 261510882494 $10.00 AUD 1 $10.00 AUD

    Shipping and handling $0.00 AUD
    Insurance - not offered ——
    Other discounts -$2.00 AUD
    Total $8.00 AUD
    Payment $8.00 AUD
This charge will appear on your credit card statement as "PAYPAL *DICKSMITHEL"
    Payment sent to [email protected]

How can it be that they have charged my Paypal acount $10?

    • +1

I think you will find that you have only been charged $8 from your account.

I can see I was invoiced $20 on my paypal transaction but if I look further into the transaction details, $16 came out of my paypal account and $4 was funded by Paypal themselves.

And $16 was the amount taken from my bank account.

  • Anyones headphones been shipped yet?

  • Received my shipping notification even though I ordered very late in the game.

    • Through ebay or email?

      • Ebay.
The headphones are going straight to a kids bday gift and look like $35 bucks or more…

        • actual tracking number assigned?

        • Invoice and shipping ref.
Can't verify anymore at the moment coz not near home.

    • Just checked and I got the same thing through email. Status via Startrack says arrived at Startrack location for processing. So I guess Im getting mine, I ordered extremely late. Hopefully theres going to be 2 in the box and not 1 like some people got from the previous deal

  • Mine just arrived, got it for $8 quite late on

  • Got mine today, bought on Sunday

They are only just worth $8 IMHO

    • same.. interestingly they still sent it (along with my toshiba 2tb portable hd) even though my paypal transfer was reversed due to lack of funds lol

anyways yeah.. these headphones aren't that great even for $8.. very flimsy build (foldable though at least), not overly comfortable ("DJ" wannabes will like the swivel feature) and most importantly, sound quality is better on the $5 iLuv earset in my subjective opinion (but i'm kinda biased to in-ears anyway and you get mic and remote control too).. i'm inclined to believe the SE-MJ711 will sound the same

      i'll probably gift these away

  • i paid for $10 and havent received any email yet.

    • Ditto. I've sent a follow up.

  • Paid the premium $10 and got mine today! good work dick smith!

  • paid $8 got them today, will keep it with the rest of the unopened headphones. I dont really know why I bought it.

    • no vote?

      • as its from DS I usually wait until the item arrived. and I was in hurry when I posted my comment.
        happy now?

        • wanted to see hit 200!

  • Text to say theyve been delivered :) … hopefully not left in the rain at home.

    • They wont leave them outside, I wasnt home this morning and got a note, picked it up at the post office. Thank god they didnt leave it out ;)

As for the headphones themselves, I feel sorry for the innocent souls out there that paid $40 or even the premium Ozbargain price of $10 for these. Absolute shit, thank god I didn't buy 3 lol
Gave one to sister and will leave mine unopened. Looks like shit, feels like shit, sounds like $8. Pioneer should pay me to put this on my head, its hurts my ears so bad, not enough cushion. Cant have them on for more than 5 minutes, no joke.

Overall I paid $8 for them and got what I paid for, and in that sense Im quite happy with the purchase ;)

  • mine arrived today. they are the most craptastic headphones i've ever encountered. not worth a cent. i'll be getting a refund through paypal - not as described (advertised as "over-ear" when they are actually "on-ear").

they look, feel and sound like absolute junk.

    • Have to agree,

I got mine today and if I knew they sounded so bad I wouldn't have bought a pair even if they were $5 (but for $4 I might have;)

Don't expect anything special. (Give them to people you don't like for Xmas)

      • That is where mine are going… Kris Kringle gifts. For moments when you need Extreme Bass to drown out life.

    • You will have to pay registered post to return them for a PayPal refund, not worth the time and cost.
I was expecting over ear also as that's what it says on the eBay ad. Bad form Dick, I will be leaving negative feedback.

      • +1

You can return it to a store according to

        http://stores.ebay.com.au/dicksmithonline/pages/dick-smith-r…

Wouldn't be fair to neg before actually trying to resolve the matter imo.

        (f) What happens if I have purchased a product online and need to return it?

Products purchased online can be returned if they are faulty, and the fault did not arise through any misuse, abnormal use or negligent use of the product. Please ensure you retain your receipt as proof of purchase. We will only refund the delivery fee if the products are determined to be faulty after assessment, and the fault did not arise through any misuse, abnormal use or negligent use of the product.

If you wish to return the product by mail, you will need to coordinate this through our Contact Centre on 1300 366 644 and follow their instructions on how to return the product. You can also return the product to our store. In both cases, the returns procedure will be in accordance with those terms set out in this Returns Policy.

        • Only faulty, no change of mind returns

        • -1

You would still have a case tho imo since it's not as described (advertised as "over-ear" when they are actually "on-ear").

        • Not really.. Pioneer's use of the term "over ear" means exactly that.. They go over the ears.. doesn't technically equate to the correct term of circumaural where by the whole ear is encompassed..

And besides, from the pic it was obvious that these are supra-aural headphones

        • Technically if you put it on a baby it will be over ear.

        • Returned mine this arvo at a DSE store (unopened). You can't return opened ones tho I was told. So that's that.

        • Depends whether the baby has a big head or not :)

  • So the verdict is $10 down the drain? lol

  • So did you guys leave a positive feedback? lol

  • I paid $10 for mine (so I purchased it before you guys who paid $8), and they still haven't shipped it. Not happy.

    • Well they do have to ship over 2k out to customers.

      • -1

-_- seriously negged for speaking the truth? I can imagine these are low on the priority list because all my other gear that I ordered from DSE on Sunday has all been delivered today.

Understand that it is supposed to be delivered within the time frame stated but be reasonable about it.

      • +1

Yeah well you would think they'd ship them in the order they were purchased, first come first served? I paid $10, so I placed the order before the people who paid $8. But the people who paid $8 have received it already, and mine still hasn't even shipped.

I knowingly spent more because I didn't want to risk them going out of stock before it could be bought for cheaper. Not only did I miss out on the saving, I don't have my product, and there's no guarantee I will even get it. Paid more for nothing. I should have waited (and actually got the product).

Understand that it is supposed to be delivered within the time frame stated but be reasonable about it.

It's not about time frames, it's about the order of who is being served. If you're in the front of a queue at a busy restaurant and they decide to admit people in the back of the queue first who only just arrived even though you waited 2 hours longer, wouldn't you be pissed?

Well they do have to ship over 2k out to customers.

There are over 2k orders, and mine was within the first 100.. Still haven't shipped out. Meanwhile people who ordered around the 1.5k+ mark have got theirs already.

  • I paid $10 and still haven't received an email from DSE.

  • Nothing from DSE yet too.

  • Got it yesterday, pretty happy with it actually, for $8. Mum said it was way better than her one which she got for $10 with no-brand from JB. Wife took it. Should've bought another 2!

  • someone mentioned can return to the store.
    cool i will…

    • Unopened ones tho. For opened ones prolly won't work.

  • F**** HELL! 2569 SOLD! Back TO STOCK NOW. I am still waiting for mine, bought around the 150th mark!

    • Yeah man… imagine packaging all those up for shipping. Lucky some of them are multiple purchases.

      • +1

I don't think you really understand what the problem is.

This deal was posted on a Saturday when it was $10. Sunday is when the 20% off began. People who ordered it within the first hour it was posted would have been within the first 150 units sold, including this guy and myself. We were among the earliest 5% of purchasers. We still have not had ours shipped.

Meanwhile by the end of Sunday DSE had already sold over 2k of them. People who bought it after us and paid less already received theirs, while ours hasn't even been posted. Do you not see what is wrong with this?

Why are they going by a first come LAST served order?

        • +1

          Because its DSE

You guys who paid $10 for this have every right to be angry considering I was one of the extremely late ones who bought one on Sunday and already got it. Bad form from DSE

        • I do understand what the problem is however I wasn't going to kick up a storm over $10. As you may of already read all my other stuff I ordered from DSE have arrived they are the stuff I am actually worried about.

Also I don't really think DSE has a procedure for anything given the amount of stuff ups they have done in the past and now. I just kind of expect it.

Trust me if this was a mouse or keyboard I would be worried just like you are.

  • +3

    Really? From email:

    Good evening,

Thank you for taking time to email Dick Smith Online.

In relation to your enquiry, please be informed that unfortunately the item ordered is currently on back order awaiting stock arrival.

We regret to inform you that we are unable to provide you with an estimated time of delivery.

Alternatively, we can offer you full refund for your order.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused.

    • +1

I ordered within an hour of this offer going live - for $10.

But now I'm voted down because I'm dissatisfied that I had to chase them to tell me they were out of stock (despite restocking multiple times)?

      There's logic there, huh.

      • +1

+1 you on that post. Yeah sometimes I don't understand the negs on this site.

    • +1

I ordered early too. I contacted them two days ago to ask why I hadn't received any postage advice… still nothing :( By the looks of it I'm hoping I get the same email as you. I'll take my money back and I won't make the mistake if bothering to buy from them again. Non existent customer service.

    • +1

See i told you they were over selling.

  • Judging by fellow bargainers' reviews of this product, should we take refund instead of waiting for the delivery?

    • im sending email now to ask refund

      • I think I'm going to do the same, do we send the email via ebay, their dse site or paypal?

        • I also ask for a refund.

  • anyone interested on the headphones, I don't want mine. if you want it for $8 (what I paid) please PM or I will return it to the store. I never opened it. location Sydney

  • If I just go to a dick smith store with them (and the invoice) will I be able to get a refund? Or do I need to email them first?

  • TO those who paid $10 for these, definitely take the refund. I know I would

    • +1

Nah once and if I receive mine it is going straight into the Kris Kringle bag. I am gonna give headphones this year. 2014 the year of the headphones. Save me a bit as well if the budget is the same this year of $20 each gift I will save $40 bucks and keep my face because most people would assume it would be worth $20 unless the receiver is a OzBargain member :P
