Microsoft Sculpt Comfort Mouse is different with Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse.
      Refer to this link: http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/en-au/mice

Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse uses bluetooth connectivity so it would save you 1 port of USB.

I have both of them. The Sculpt Comfort is also Bluetooth.

        • so which one you like?

        • +1

The Sculpt Comfort is designed right handed, while the Sculpt touch is neutual. I personally prefer the touch, as I bought the comfort for my wife's laptop.

      • The sculpt comfort mouse has a wheel, which is much better..

      • unfortunately, sculpt comfort is not on the cash back list.

I bought a touch mouse from a COTD deal a while ago. I couldn't stand it and went back to my old one straight away. If you haven't used one of these before, I suggest you don't invest too much in your first one.

buy this and save an usb port. just put a little oil on the touch area and use it much easier.

  • Is this comfy enough to be used as a full time desktop mouse?

  • Thanks for the disconnect fix suggestion. I was going to say that this mouse disconnects randomly for a minute or so every so often. Very annoying but hopefully it is now fixed. I'd prefer the Sculpt Comfort too but I can't find a retailer that sells it and particpates in the 30% cashback deal. I'm finding the Sculpt Touch scrolling button randomly scrolls backwards for no reason as well.

I picked one of these up today. Thank you OP.
    Quick review (1 day ownership):
I came from a Logitech V470 Cordless Laser Mouse. This Microsoft mouse is about 10% lighter and has a much more pronounced 'click' sound which could bug someone in a very quite shared living/working environment.
More of a portable sized mouse but I intend on using it as my main desktop mouse and it feels like the size won't be an issue. The mouse has a built-in vibration for the scrolling. Unique effect but a tiny bit noisy. Fortunatly it can be disabled with the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center Software.
Worth noting that it has a reasonably strong blue LED (compared to none on the Logitech laser mouse) on the underside which isn't visible when mouse is on a flat surface but could be if you're a mouse "picker-uper" type person.
