  • Thx OP

  • Thanks, $2.25 to try this and free freight was too good to pass.

  • Thanks! Just ordered 2

  • Thanks OP.
Have had this jerky and biltong before, and it is very good!

  • I bought $80 worth of Jim's jerky as part of their EOFY sale (that's a lot of jerky). I also bought $20 worth of another jerky brand. I just needed to stop myself from buying 4 25g packs. I may have a problem.

  • Thanks! Bought 20 packs and some Biltong =D

  • +2

If you love jerky and biltong then you should be trying the biltong from "The Biltong Man"
    http://biltongman.com.au/store
They are located in Sydney, no I'm not affiliated to them. I've tried both (Jim's Jerky and the Biltong Man when I was at the Easter Show earlier this year) and this wins hands down.

My family all preferred this AAANNNND it is tremendously cheaper.
You can buy in bulk at $50 and $65 per kilo which is a lot cheaper. Also you can go to their factory in Mascot to buy.

Sorry I don't know how much the postage is as I pick up but you have a huge price disparity from Jim's Jerky as it is so much dearer (at least $20- $30 per kg)

    I love the chilli beef.

    Enjoy

    • Just bought more Jerky… what have you done >_>

      • Received Biltong Man order yesterday, 500g pack of Chili Biltong… While waiting for Jim's to arrive, already cleared half the pack =P

        Good recommendation!

    • Why would you do this to me? Will certainly give these guys a go once I've worked my way through my pile of Jims and Geronimo.

FYI too, shipping appears to be ~$8.80 per kg. A kilo of biltong delivered for $58 is still a great deal, and the cheapest I've seen so far.

    • I've tried both, but prefer Jim's. Biltong man jerky is quite moist whereas I prefer the drier jerky that's Jim makes. Aldi were selling biltong man a few months ago and I got a few packs then. They might stock them again in the future

      • Well it all does come back to taste preference. If you want dry then maybe try the Snaptix's.
I think they are pretty dry but it does come back to personal tastes :)
My kids just hoover it down when I bring some home and it disappears into their lunch boxes for healthy snacks, so I need to look at pricing as well.

    • I prefer their biltong as well but still get some Jim's when the price is right… The jerky is different fron the biltong

    • Just ordered thanks!

  • Ordered, thanks Garth69

  • I also heard about Jim's Jerky on Ozbargain. Curious, tried some, and now I'm hooked!! :0

where is 25g Packs for $2.25?
Its $4.50 for 25g pack with 10% off

Edit: Found the advertisement on front page, 25g Packs for $2.50
But the link to the item doesn't work…

    • +1

It's only the 'Honey Soy' or 'Bloody Hot Chilli' jerky flavours going for $2.50 (2.25 with discount) :)

      • Thanks didn't realize it was those 2 flavors

  • I noticed a free sample advertisement on their page think i should give it a go ;)

The problem is that Jim's have upped their prices by…wait for it…10% on all their jerky.

It was like $75 a kilo now its $82.50.

  • Have gone off Jims after being a customer for years

Used to buy Pepper Biltong at $63 a kilo (after my 10% VIP discount)

Now they've stopped doing Pepper flavour, and they've put the Biltong price up to $90 (after my 10$ VIP discount)

Used to buy about 3 x 500g bags a month - now I buy nothing

      Wow.. you showed them!

  • Just ordered piripiri and chilli jerky ! Hope it's good!!!

  • $5 for 25g

That's a rip off, I may as well go to a local store and buy it cheaper.
