        Good to know. Also note that purchases from your store have 24month Consumer Warranty protection, and are eligible for 'out-of-warranty' support from Apple Australia.

        However, iPads etc. purchased from Kogan HK are not "grey imports". They are 'private imports'.

        Purchasers are the importers. I guess you could claim that the items they purchased become 'grey imports' after they have imported and received them as private imports.

        I believe you need to call them first to arrange an appointment, but yes you can claim warranty through an Apple branch with our products as it is Australian Stock.

        As far as I am aware, Kogan requests customers to send the product back to them for warranty claims on iPads.

  Don't forget that there is only a 12month Global Warranty from Apple - no 24month Consumer Warranty protection, and I am almost sure no 'out-of-warranty' replacements support from Apple Australia.

  Grabbed an iPad mini retina and will claim GST on the way out :) also got the belkin screen protector for my full size, it 'feels' nicer than the generic ones to me.
