  • All, this deal is a great way to get a cheap Samsung Galaxy S5 4G from Officeworks IF at the same time you are going overseas and can claim TRS.

I found the price difference between a price-matched Officeworks phone (remember they beat any other genuine price by 5%)and a Kogan or eBay or other grey market phone importer is about $33 more.

$33 is a reasonable price for an extra year of warranty - as you get 2 years warranty with genuine Australia stock of Samsung phones and others offer just 1 year warranty with a bunch of strings attached (ie you may have to pay return postage and the usual suspect conditions.)

    • I highly doubt anyone else would honour this discount. Price matches are usually items prices only and brick and mortar only honour brick and mortar prices.

  • does Officeworks do 5% pricebeat on these type of promotions?

    • Yes I did it last week

    • Just price beat at OW for an iPad Air.

      597-60=537, then 5% off

Walked out with Aussie stock iPad Air for $510 which is ok.

  • Good luck finding an OW open now. First 500 so by the time they open tomorrow will probably be too late.

    • The 500 offer has been available for over a week now. You can check online to see if it works before placing your order.

  • Pity none of their console packs are particularly cheap before this deal

http://www.dicksmith.com.au/gaming-movies/sony-ps4-destiny-b… looks sharp though that wait.

NO Exclusions - but, we will quietly take the good ones off the website so you cannot buy (eg: gift card)..

    • +1

so you've got a problem with a company not giving you free money?

Silentbob (who isnt so silent) - do you know what no exclusions means?

        • I don't think Gift Cards should be considered a product though, it is the means to purchase products from their store for a pre-designated value. If they aren't giving you a discount on that I don't think it should be considered exclusion from a sale.

  • Prepaid mobile voucher :)

  • I'm considering grabbing a DSE 40inch TV for $309 delivered after the discount to throw up in my alfresco.

Spend the extra $40 on a Soniq one from JB. Love mine and it's amazing quality for $

      • I think I'll leave it for now and stick with an old 32inch that I've got, despite it being extremely thick and not having a digital tuner (I stream TV to it). I'll wait until I actually get an antenna point installed.

Thanks though. I'll keep an eye on the Soniq.

        • JB don't sell it any more! The 40 inch Soniqs have disappeared from their website. I checked two stores, and none were on display.

Intesresting the DSE 40inch TV makes you "throw up" in your alfresco?

Agreed. Been a pain dealing with them in the past. I purposely spent an extra $10 to get the tablet I got during the 20% off sale from TGG instead of DS so I wouldn't have to deal with them.

Took advantage of this offer last week for an iPad air… they seem to have forgotten to ship it.
      Avoid DICK like the plague!

I'm stuck waiting for delivery of a TV I don't want just so I can get a refund. I asked them to cancel before it shipped and they confirmed it but still shipped it. Bunch of jokers on their Facebook support, takes them at least 2 hours to reply to a PM. The phone lines have at least a 30 minute waiting period (can't confirm though, got sick of waiting after 30).

      Avoid DS like the plague.
