Puzzle Bobble Universe (3DS), Lumines (PS Vita) $10 + $0.99 Delivery at JB Hi-Fi

70

Pretty good deal on these two games in my opinion. Bought both, have never played Puzzle Bobble Universe but have played variants of it and enjoyed it a lot.

Lumines however, I highly recommend if you are into music puzzle games. Incredibly addictive and a really nice looking game on the PS Vita.

For $10 each you really can't go wrong.

Grab the PS Vita Slim Bundle from JB Hi-Fi - $259 gets you the new 2000 model system and a copy of Borderlands 2 - i'm picking mine up tonight actually! :)

that way you'll have three games and a system to play them on ;)

Don't forget the incredibly overpriced memory card.

        • ugh sony handhelds and cameras with their proprietary mem cards.
Luckily for PSP theres a Micro SD to Pro Duo adapter!

        • Memory card prices have been dropped significantly. no where near as bad as before..

        • The new vita comes with 1Gb internal… so if you don't get any digital copies it could be worth a go.

Yep, My spare 64GB just arrived (for my second Vita/PS TV when it releases) and cost around $90 from SuperUFO (delivered with tracking)

      • Nice. I'm not ready to pull the trigger on it yet. soon though…

      • From my post before, you should be able to swap out the game if you don't want BL2. Someone said they weren't able to but it is worth a try. I did this at JB Hifi Blacktown NSW, should be nationwide.

  • I got puzzle bubble universe on 3ds a few months back for $10 at JB.

Terrible game, it feels horribly clunky and the hit box is really strange. You're better off playing the ones on phone apps these days.

Yeah Lumines is definitely the pick of the two. Puzzle Bobble Universe seems to be one of the more lacking implementations of a classic game - for $10 though I figured I had to at least give it a shot as a big fan of the series.

    • Ah shame… Will avoid.

    • that's a shame, really enjoyed bubble bobble on the ps2, also it's great cd case art

  • Lumines can be picked up for $4 (new) if you're lucky enough to find it in EB.

  • Lumines is $5 pre-owned at JB Hifi if you can grab one in store.

For $10 each you really can't go wrong.

I can only repeat my previous experience with JB Hi-Fi and hope that interested parties don't end up with clearly and obviously USED games sold as new. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/127309

Thats not entirely true, while most of their games are not sealed, they are pulled from a stores shelves.

I can only speak from my experience. Very obviously used.

  • Received mine a few days ago.

Looking at the gold contacts It doesn't look like it's been used.
Not that I have a used cart to compare. Buying these as they go cheap in preparation for when I actually get a PSvita.
The version I received is a grey import from the UK. I have no problem with grey imports but the fact they've not disclosed this on the website is troubling and annoying as grey imports generally have a lower resale should you every choose to sell your game later.
Also as I purchased from the website I would expect this to be coming from a warehouse and still shrink wrapped mine wasn't maybe they took it off so they could apply the Australia ratings stickers but surely they could have applied them to the outside. If it was Store shelf stock I believe it should be noted on the product page but again no where to be seen on the JB website.
Since they've removed the plastic seal there's a pretty noticeable scratch on the back of the plastic casing.
Also they never put a New sealed sticker on it like at the store (actually not sure if they do that at JB as I always get them to open the used games so I can inspect before I buy) so I'm not sure how the return process would be handled since it could now be played without them knowing.

So as stated by Cheepwun and Megatallica if your buying new from JB Buyer Beware!
