82

For those of you wondering what to put next to your Darth Vader. This maybe what your looking for. It may not be as tall but it definitely is as fat!

Its made from magnesia and is great price for something of its size.
Its a great investment given the good luck you will get in return.

After I bought a buddha statue (for a higher price), I got a promotion at work and managed buy some eneloops for a bargain.

    I prefer the low-fat version: "I Can't Believe It's Not Buddha".

Most Buddhists would be offended about a bodyless Buddha.

Simply despise the way commercial craft houses and retailers make money from sculptures of Buddha, often potrayed WRONG, used by ignorant fools for placement in their gardens, bedrooms, kitchens, etc! rather than a dedicated place in the house. IMHO too, this is great disrespect to One whom millions look to for faith.

The doubt if the same people would like post their father's or kid's heads (only) on top of lamp posts and garden fountains or kitchen walls… (because you just don't do such a thing! hint!)

Meh, most buddhists are not so uptight these days. Same with christians - you should see all the plastic jesus crap being sold outside the vatican in Rome.
OTOH, try selling a line of Mohammed statues and see what happens.

  • Jubba I find your comments very insensitive and offensive to Buddhists.

If you are a Christian, and someone say the same to a Jesus statue or Virgin Mary how will you feel.
If you are a Muslim and same is said about Alah or Mohammed you would be fairly upset now

I would find them offensive even when I am not of the same religion.

Manic, just because buddists are not uptight and generally peace lover doesn't mean this behaviour is right and justified. Just because people dont hit you back doesnt mean it is right for you to punch them.

When the westerners raided temples / religious sites in the east and cut off buddha heads as trophies and transport them back to Europe and use as artistic decorations, I think that's they are used to have Buddha heads only versions of decoration. (Because the massive statues are too big to take home for them at the time. There are many headless Buddha statues in religious sites etc. Pretty shameless behaviour)

Look. Sure I'm having a bit of a laugh at Buddhism.

I come from a religion where I have people making jokes about god's having 10 heads or having a million gods. I welcome their interest and am happy to explain the intricacies of my religion to those interested. For those who find it hilarious, let them find it hilarious.

I have a laugh at the ridiculous superstitions many people have and challenge them to justify their beliefs and I don't see how religion is any different.

I'm not saying that you are an idiot to believe in what you believe. I'm not attacking you for your beliefs. Nor am excluding you for your beliefs.

I and many others find some things funny and I think we are more than welcome to have a laugh.

As for heads without the rest of the body. It's called a bust
