      "The old adage is true: you can't judge a book by its cover. The MX 5.1 speaker system is downright deceptive. While I still prefer larger speakers the MX speaker is ideal for consumers who want big sound in a small package. In the right sized room the MX's are sure to be a crowd pleaser. The Mirage isn't intended for head banger volumes but will work well in most home situations. The next time someone asks me what my recommendation would be for a compact speaker system the MX 5.1 speaker system will be high on the list.       In this scenario great things do come in small packages. When I hooked this surround sound system to my Denon AVR-75 the sound was incredible. The little subwoofer had massive bass, and for those who doesn't like a lot of bass there is a volume control on the back of the subwoofer for your preference. The satellite speakers is phenomenal. Watching Transformer on the scorpion robot scene was awesome. It felt like I was sucked into the movie with its crisp clear sound. Overall, for the price this set of speakers are very well worth it.

      Since when has $650 been alot of "coin" for a quality 5.1 speaker system? Nice graphic by the way. looks like someone has a lot of spare time on their hands ;) Happy shoping!

        This is a particularly visceral way of putting it, but I will now quote a philosophical explanation of purchasing audio gear:

        "Each successively higher audio purchase is like a widening Censored, to which you may always refer back to, in order to aid justification of the next jump in price range"

        He would like you to help him justify why he should jump from a lower price range.

        (Not tell him that it is not a particularly expensive price range).

        IE, you would compare lower stuff and say, "this is far superior"

        (If any words are not understood in this comment, I highly recommend NOT enquiring further)

    It wasn't so much a question for myself, but more for others. A buyer always needs to read the benefits of buying a) your product over b) someone else's. Especially when people even take a moment to think about dropping $5 on an item now.

    I for one am happy with my Logitech Z623 system and was wondering what your system provides vs mine.

      If you live anywhere near Rio I'm sure they'd be happy to let you audition these speakers against your Logitechs. That's really the best way for you to answer your question.
