  • Good phone with good specs and reasonable price. Also kitkat rolled out for this phone last month.

The purple colour is not for me.

Same prices for the white one:

    And black one too:

  • Great price! Paid $689 for it in Feb! Good phone but took a while to get accustomed to it after and iPhone!

    • I wanna dip my stick in the pool of Android after using an iPhone 5 for nearly two years. Some of these very competent aging Android phones look very appealing ATM. Especially at this price.

Can anyone recommend anything in particular?

      • +3

There are a lot of good high end Android phones out in the market, you will have to read through reviews and perhaps play with display models and see what suits you best. Different vendors offer slightly different flavours of Android. It's very difficult to sum up what is best for the particular user

        For LG we have:
        LG Nexus 5
        LG G2

        ASUS
        Zenfone 5 / Zenfone 6

        HTC
        One M7 / One M8

        For Sony we have
        Sony Z1 Compact / Z1 / Z2

        and Samsung:
Galaxy S IV / Samsung Note II / Note III

  • Phone broke and worst support from Sony NEVER BUY SONY!

Have to agree to some extent, not very tough at all compared to an iPhone, mostly made of plastic (including the flimsy SIM holder) and scratches very easily

So basically your better off with a Samsung if you want Android

  • Are these any good? Does the screen respond properly when touched?

I am having some response issues on my capacitative screen on my HTC One M8. When I am holding it in my hand, it seems like it doesn't conduct properly. When I put it on the table, the screen doesn't respond at all.

I'm looking to replace it with something else. I'll probably sell it "as is" on ebay.

    Another Question:
Do you think Telstra will fix my HTC One M8? I have looked online and it seems to be a common issue. I don't think it falls under "warranty".

    • Well, if it's still under warranty. If it's malfunctioning on the hardware side of things, as long as it was not caused by user damage, or grey import, then they would be bound by Australian Consumer Law.
