Sounds like a good deal but I lost faith in Dimmi when:

1/ The restaurant never got the booking and nearly didn't seat us; and

2/ Dimmi did not reply to messages sent about the incident or update my account to reflect the fact that I actually ended up dining at the restaurant

So if you book, be prepared for the possibility of not getting your table.

    • happened to me once, but otherwise they've been pretty good. i like the rewards system.

    • I always confirm the booking with the restaurant.
They forgot to cancel a booking when I had changed dates. Otherwise I cannot complain, good deals sometimes.

  • I used dimmi all the time and I recommend it.

  • i cant get to my existing rewards on the new website. Anyone else getting a page not found on the my rewards page?

    • Just checked and mine is working OK. Has all my reward points etc showing.

    • Are you still having problems? Please email [email protected] and we'll sort it out for you. Cheers, the Dimmi Team

Have used Dimmi about half a dozen times in the last year. Never had an issue. Great deal OP.

is this targeted? i can't see the offer on their website

  • is this for new or existing members?

  • Any one know if we get this offer if we book the Dimmi flash special?

    • Doesn't show any exclusions, so I can't see why not?

  • Is this for new customers as well? If so I will give Dimmi a go (never used them before)

Available to ALL customers (new and existing). Not a targeted offer.

Yes,I found this offer on their facebook too.So definitely available to all customers.

  • Cheers OP, was just about to book somewhere that's on dimmi.

  • Just booked using the website. Let's see when they credit the bonus point. Anyone knows who to redeem the $50 voucher? How it works?

Once you have accumulated 8000 points, log in and go to My Rewards section. Select from the list of restaurants (in the state and region of your choosing) then click redeem and make a booking with that restaurant.

Some restaurant would require you printing the booking confirmation email in order to redeem the $50 on the day despite they already have a record that you are redeeming points, so I would suggest printing a physical copy to avoid any possible issues.

      • Thanks for the explanation.

  • we booked their flash deal 50% off at Bacchus last week…wow amazing food and service. love dimmi!

  • Yes, dimmi with their 50% off specials has been good for us too over the last year.

We used our Entertainment book so little that we decided to not get one this year…

  • The only question regarding this offer: is that a once per account or can we make multiple bookings and each gets bonus points? Not much small print on the website…

    • It is once per account only, open to new and existing customers, only when you book through the dimmi.com.au webpage. Hope that clears it up. Cheers, the Dimmi team

I think you'll find you need 8000 (not 6000) points to "use those points to redeem a $50 voucher". As it happens I've already got a bit over 2000 so will be taking up the apparently targeted email I received from Dimmi.

You will get 1000 points for the qualifying booking, 1000 points for writing a review of booking and then a bonus 6,000 point added mid September to your account. That will leave you with at least 8,000 which is the minimum to make a Rewards booking and use the $50 voucher. The FAQs are here: http://www.dimmi.com.au/need-help/faqs/

Not sure why I was negged as the 1000+1000 extra points that can be earned was not mentioned in the original post nor at the linked page. The subsequent post by associate dimmiadmin provided the missing detail, thanks.

  • Does booking with Dimmi negates the use of the Entertainment book offer (if the restaurant happens to be in both) - or are these two aspects independent of each other? Since Dimmi is solely about making a booking. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it would negate it – it's just like calling the restaurant and making a reservation

On using the $50 voucher, it may be worth noting the following T&C's:

Are there limitations on when I can use the Dimmi free meal voucher?

The Dimmi meal voucher can only be used Sunday - Thursday (not Fridays or Saturdays).
The Dimmi meal voucher can only be used for Lunch or Dinner.
The Dimmi meal voucher cannot be used on public holidays, Valentine's Day, Fathers Day, Mothers Day, other special/festival days or the Christmas period (13th December - 14th January), even though you may be able to put a booking through on these dates.
The Dimmi meal voucher cannot be used in association with any other deal, offer or promotion, including Entertainment book vouchers, discount vouchers from any other companies, or another Dimmi meal voucher (only one per table / booking).
The Dimmi meal voucher is only valid for redemption if you have made a booking with the restaurant from within your Rewards account.
Only one Dimmi voucher can be used per booking / party. Minimum of 2 diners per booking.
It is at the restaurant's discretion whether they allow the Dimmi Rewards voucher to be used towards any fixed-price menus, or special set menus they have available when you dine. Please ask restaurant staff if you can use your Dimmi voucher if you're wanting to order anything other than the usual A La Carte.

    • Where can I use my redemption voucher?

Your voucher can only be used at our selected redemption restaurants. You can view these before you make your redemption booking on the following link.

The selected redemption restaurants link is a blank page.

  • Hi Rep, I used the Dimmi app to make a booking. Is that still ok for this offer?
