    Pretty good.
I'm always looking for pots and pans with lids.

  • +10

They're good for a couple of months cooking. Dodgy adding the lids as separate pieces though…

    • +1

Pretty much standard in the kitchenware industry unfortunately.

Good spot OP. Canberra's IKEA is still a half year or so away* so I'll have to skip.

`* Pretty sure the building is complete, but it takes a bloody long time to assemble an entire warehouse's worth of flat pack furniture.

Plus they have to build the maze so you never get out of the store ;)

      • +4

According to IKEA, IKEA uses 1% of the Earth's wood supply (Wikipedia:IKEA). Takes a forest to furnish a new maze!

      • +6

I wish someone told me this before I went in there and tried to backtrack my way out….

      • +6

it's not a maze, it's an infinite loop actually, that is if you took the wrong turn at the exit

      • I've always wondered if they actually go around checking for people in the store when they're closing. Always thought of hiding or sleeping in one of the beds lol

        • Just trying out the small apartments haha.

Especially with one of those little Allen keys.

  • while i do love all things cheap, cant help but wonder how many of these things end up in landfills?

    • +2

considering most of it is made of metal, they will melt it down and make something else out of it..

      • its not actually made from real metal. its made from the same material used to make cheese burgers.

i think it was called quarks.

        • The cheeseburgers in the Hungary Jack $1 promo?

      • Noone melts it down at the landfill…

        • +1

Yes they do, I've worked with waste companies that recycle upwards of 95% of the rubbish they collect of us.

Enterprising fellows out there are millionaires from sorting our rubbish and reselling it

  • +11

    Does it come flat packed?

    • +2

Oh c'mon, who was the "negging Nancy" on this gag?!? I thought it was hilarious :P
I Pozzed yer back to neutral, G.
I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to neg a joke just because you personally don't find it funny!

      • +1

You'll lose your mind like a heath ledger meme if you start wondering about the motives of just one neg!

  • wow that's cheap! does anyone know what type of non-stick coating it has?…

    • +6

      Carcinogenic variety…

  • It's awkward, but how do we place order? Is it in-store only or online?
I can't seem to find any tab for online order.

    • +2

It's all in-store, plus the bargain hasn't started yet!

      • You might want to add IN STORE ONLY in title

        • +10

It's Ikea, everything is in store!

        • Thanks, I didn't know that.

        • +6

The one who negged me should know that I have never bought anything from IKEA. So why neg when asking question of which I have no knowledge.

        • +2

          @Oz Bargain 3:
          There there, have a +1

  • +1

Looks like a bargain but not sure how long it will last? I've got their 365 branded pots and pans and they sure take a pounding and still going strong.

  • Nice but why do they run their deals on Fri-Sun when I'm nowhere near and the place is probably full of screaming kids.

    • +1

If they ran it during the week, all the items would be picked up by non-working ebay Mums. Leaving no stock left for when working people can get there.

Running it Fri-Sun, kind of caters for both I guess.

      • +1

I wonder if eBay mums are hot. :)

        • +2

          It's well known that they're MILFs-to-the-core, Greft-Poss.

      • get more people in the store, who get stuck behind each other…

        result more browsing/non essential buying

Not available in SA or WA. :'(

    Body: Aluminum, Non stick coating
Good luck for everyone cooking in aluminum with plastic coating… Neither is very good.

    • +2

Not to mention the potential effects on your health.

They should rename this set from Havssik to Getssik lol

    • +2

Having trouble working out that they are just showing you the different colours available? Don't let that get in the way of your quality rant though.

      6 piece = 3 pots n pans + 3 lids.

EDIT: damn, think I just fed the troll

  • Madness this morning at IKEA..
    Managed to get two.

    • Madness this morning at IKEA.

      Madness? THIS. IS. IKEA!!!

  • No stock everywhere. It was business targeted sale. Not a real deal.

  • No stock at Richmond (I went and checked at the warehouse area too). What a bonkers place. I thought I might pick up a 2 set of pans with no lids for $13, but the display ones were pretty flimsy and the Teflon had scratched off. Had to settle for a $1 hot-dog.

  • It was on sale @10am and out of stock within 15 mins (Springvale)

  • Rhodes sold out this morning
