    I purchased a watch from Star Jewels in response to an OzBargain deal a few months ago. A good price, good watch, good packaging, fast shipping; everything one could ask for really… and then the spam started!

    Star Jewels seems to interpret the making of a purchase as consent to spam. If you buy from Star Jewels, I suggest you do so from a temporary throwaway email address.

    As a matter of principle, I don't buy from companies that spam, so, no deal for me.

      A large percentage online businesses do this. Seems like you'll be really limiting your purchase options if you have that principle.

          Not at all. I find it annoying and unsubscribe every time I get them but to say that I won't buy from these businesses in the future I'd soon run out of places to buy from.
