  • Gift vouchers as compensation?

Refund + Gift Voucher and I'll be happy…

cancelled again. these guys are such arseholes- they pulled the same trick a few months ago on their games sale.

just received my order this morning - i'm one of the lucky ones.
Funny that their is a stickered price tag for $79

    shipped from their bayswater store

  • Think of all that interest they'll be earning on our money as they 'process' the refunds.
    Untrustworthy.

  • Order cancelled too.

  • Cancelled as well. $25 back in pocket. :D

  • Mine been cancelled too.

What were you guys seriously expecting.. item being sold at clearance prices being ozbargained, did you think they would have the amount of stock you guys are going to demand?

    • +3

I would of thought they would learn from their previous mistakes..

    • +10

How about a stock management system where stock level = 0 = sold out

      • -4

That would be a good suggestion. I guess they don't have the technical know how or don't want to invest in it. Still, unreasonable expectations..

        • +2

A basic function on their e-commerce software isn't unreasonble. In fact it's expected to have a basic inventory control, particularly for a large company like GGs.

        • @SirFlibbled: The unreasonable expectations were for quantity, not e-commerce system. Would you have been less disappointed if they sold out in an hour and you couldn't order?

        • Yes I would have. Happy to miss out on a deal (happens all the time). If I'm too slow I'm too slow. Being able to order and then missing out is certainly more frustrating as there was another deal the next day from somewhere else which looked good and would have been happy to order those but missed out because I had already ordered some.

        • @lostn:

          Is that even a question?

'Here, take my money for a few days and hang onto it and then send me an email telling me I can't have what I ordered and you'll give my money back later'

          Or

'Oh, that's a good bargain, might grab a pair. Damn, I missed out. Good thing I have my $9 to go buy beer to consul myself'

      • It never works that perfect in real life. That is why shops do stock take - to figure out how much actual stock they actually have compared to what is in the system.

  • Too bad I cant Neg my own post lol.. They have now delivered 1 item from my order and cancelled my earphones… Called up and they are refusing to refund the delivery fee so ended up paying $5 del for a $8 item.

    • They came through with the refund. Thanks GG and sorry for all the extra paperwork this has created for the ladies in HQ :)

Note: Afte sale customer service, 100x better then Dick Smith… (wait 100x of 0 is still 0, oops).

    • I told them to cancel my whole order but they still sent it ($1 item) so they better refund my shipping too.. Also haven't received anything mentioning a refund

    • Does this indicate the TGG is a CON???

  • why no vouchers this time? guess they realised the problem isn't going away, time to kick up a fuss on facebook

  • Canceled, not a deal. TGG is becoming the new dicksmith.

    • +4

      If Dick Smith had a sale on Logitech headphones and then they would either;
      - marked them as all out of stock
      - raised the price before the sale started
      - excluded Logitech headphones

  • … so how may did they have to sell … and were they responsibily monitoring the number of sales during the sale??? … and … I payed by PayPal, the transfer went into their account … was the company , The Good Guys, having a liquidity problem and our deposits helped them out?????

Do we think that companys should be required to indicate the amount of stock units they are going to sell , instead of sucking us all in so that they can inflate their bank account … sounds like an issue for Fair Trading???

PS … should this go into general discussions????

Don't get too paranoid. They made an offer. Didn't have proper inventory controls and over sold. Simple as that.

  • bloody order cancelled. so mad!

  • -1

    Order cancelled?
I got my 5 sets delivered just 2days ago and putting them to good use already.

    • What time did you order?

      • Pretty much within first 30 minutes of the post.

    • With your 10 ears?

      • -1

U mad? lol! Is because I lose/break them too often.

        • Nope, was just joking. :)

Surprised your order was processed though with the 3 pair limit that was supposed to be in place.

I am mad with the refund process though, having to wait 3 days, then isteadof it ending up in my account were it started it was just sitting in PayPal where I had to transfer it back and another 2 days wait.

  • Welp, I just received a $25 gift card. Anyone else get one from this failed event?

    • wut really? when how!
