          @xuqi:

          yes, I read that. That is a ridiculous condition when the link they posted says that they accept paypal.

  • A small SSD (120GB ish) would be a major preference over a 2TB HDD.

      Debatable for a HTPC, depends if you're streaming content from somewhere else or storing it to watch on the 2TB.

      • thats right, exchanging hdd's would be pointless in my opinion. you would be better off ADDING the SSD to have the OS and store files on the 2TB

        Personally, i would ditch 4gb of ram and spend the money on a dedicated graphics card with HDMI out, much better than onboard.

        • I was thinking if you have the choice of one or the other then an SSD would be the preference, but you're right, a combination of the two would be great.

          An HTPC with slow boot times is just awful, the best upgrade to mine was an SSD. And yeah, in my case I'm streaming everything from my server in another room.
          I hadn't even thought of recording TV shows, but I was thinking if people have an HTPC then they're either streaming from another PC or transferring stuff to a USB drive and then playing that on the HTPC.

  • Postage to 4825 = $93.75 So I think I will pass.

    Hmm……it's just too expensive to qualify as an ozbargain "bargain".

    Make it $499 inc delivery and I'm sure you'll get a few positive votes and sales.

    So it's pretty much a standard PC (sans OS?). I'd rather get a low power/silent NUC type box with SSD and add an external 2tb USB drive. Also, where's the IR remote? Or do we have to actually get up off the sofa? Ewww!

  • Hey rep any chance of doing this with a R9-270 at same price ?
