I bought it for $360 few weeks back. I love this player as it has got lot of connectivity options including NFC, Bluetooth, DLNA, Airplay and also a DAB radio.

Sound quality is pretty good.

I bought the previous model at half price from Dick Smith ($150). These things are very good. I use it a lot for Pandora streaming (you get 128kbps, even with a free account). I hooked it up to my JBL bookshelf speakers for incredible sound quality. The speakers it came with are not that good, and do not do it justice. The speakers which come with this newer model are the same.
DLNA also works great, so I do not actually need airplay or bluetooth to play music from another device. But handy if it's there.

    • I have the previous model too. Thanks for the JBL speaker recommendation. Sound quality is good but I really don't like the user interface. Internet radio is so slow that it's unusable. Pandora is good but also slow to change stations and seems to get repetitive - also even when you upgrade it stays at 128kbps. And my wife can't be bothered learning how to work it, I don't blame her as the UI is quite bad. Thinking of getting a Sonos instead.

      • I use the web interface to set up my stations, and then they just show up. Yes, a bit slow. But I just pick a station I like and let it play. Home Media devices always stream at 128kbps, no matter whether a paid subscription or not.

        • Yes, if you just pick a station and always play it that's fair enough. Doesn't suit someone who likes to change stations regularly. But if you turn it off and then on, it doesn't go back to the station you were playing. Still have to click through a few menus and wait for network in between clicks. Same with Pandora. That makes it unusable for the wife.

Also some home media devices play better than 128kbps, eg Sonos and Airplay.

  • I have this system too. I like the DLNA but very unfortunate that this model doesn't have Pandora! Wish I could find a hacking community interested in bringing some more functionality to it, eg. Pandora, FLAC.

    • Do you have this model, or the previous like mine? Have you checked for firmware updates? Because the previous model required a firmware update to enable pandora if you bought it early.
Would be a shame if they left out Pandora on this newer model.
