(Fitzroy, VIC) Kathmandu Outlet Store - Active Towel XL Various Colours Chamois Like $12.99 Was $59.98

100

Visited the clearance outlet in Fitzroy today at 421 smith st Fitzroy.
These towels are huge, like a normal beach towel. Ideal for adults & kids swimming as they aren't anywhere near as bulky.
Outlet & online price is the same, unknown if the same in normal Kathmandu retail store.

  • I was lucky to pick them up for under $10 last year when they had their online sales. They made good secret Santa pressies

  • I grabbed a bunch of these last time. All my mates laughed at me for buying chamois towels until we went to the beach and actually saw how good they were. The best thing I found about them was apart from drying you quickly, sand doesn't stick to it like it would a normal beach towel. Makes for cleaner trips home in the car.

  • Kathmandu have opened a store on eBay in the last day or so. You can get these online but have to pay $10 delivery.

    • Strange because their 4 feedbacks all date back to 2013. If it's a brand new ebay store opened up in the last day or so then how come there's feedback over a year old?.

    • There was a large box at the door full of various size towels for about that price.

  • While I haven't tried that particular towel, I have some other Kathmandu microfibre towels, and comparing them to good quality ones you can get from car care sites, the Kathmandu ones are pretty average - thin and sparsely woven.

    daiso has microfibre towels (120 x 55cm) for $2.80

pretty cheap on ebay too. eg. 150 x 70cm for less than $5 including postage from hong kong (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/181189415416)
