    ahh CDRWIN, a relic from the 90's era.
    Remembered these were used to bypass some copy protection to make game backups (for our own use!)

    • Yes physical media is so quaint .

        I guess you have a 100Mbps internet connection with an unlimited data quota where you can quickly download your 50Gb sized media at an almost instantaneous rate.

          Why do you need to backup a BluRay disc? Especially to a 50GB file?

          I find 1 to 5 GB media files to be excellent quality.

          For everything else physical rotating media is either too small, inconvenient, more expensive that other alternatives like harddrives.

        • @SamR:

          Excellent quality? Maybe.

          Optimum quality? Nope.

        • Agreed but the days when programs like CDRWIN were heavily used are long gone.

          @SamR:

          I backup my Steam games onto 25Gb BD-R discs. They're cheap and unable to be infected by malware.

          Yes you could use a hard drive but that means it's vulnerable to malware or corruption.

        • @SamR: HDD still contains physical rotating media….

          why do people often question motives but never provide a constructive answer to a problem?

    • YES! I Forgot they existed until now. Wow.

  • Does this support mac os??

  • can anyone answer if this program addresses shit protections like disclock issues? I have a couple (ok maybe 100s) of old original games CDs that I want to back up.
