    yes but how much difference even Apple puts haswell chips in the new model? So the question really comes to if you want to pick up this gen for $626, or the new version at full price $749 (assuming Apple keeps the price the same)

  that's exactly what i use it for, i'm running an old core2duo model, works great still. high bitrate 1080p no problems
