Black & Decker BDCDMT120 20V MAX Matrix Cordless Drill including drill, charger, and battery pack
Am not sure if charger comes with 240v power pack, but for the price, wasn't going to quibble…

Product link from reseller directly:

Thanks Wiggam, I'm not getting one myself but pretty sure the rest of you guys will.

        • Thanks alot, I'll update. Apologies.

        • the seller's feedback is "just launched". seems suspicious to me

        • @mattgal: Amazon is confusin. Where is the sellers link on the item page?

      • Ordered. Thanks mate. Much appreciated :)

      • Thanks Wiggam

These are roughly the same price as the Ozito drills you get from Bunnings but I assume are better

It'll cost the seller $30 to send it here. Hes not gonna ship the item.

    • Newly registered reseller, just thought may be a promo?
If its a mistake on seller's listing, Imma gonna feela bitta bad.

Seller is in China, not USA. Also, seller is new to Amazon. Zero feedback.
So you might get your drill. Or nothing. Or a Blak & Deccer.

Or some prayer beads, with tracking.

would never waste money on black n decker shite again, save a bit longer and wait for deals on real tools from folks like snap on, koken, Stahlwille or Mac :P

Professional tools are not a bargain for the average DIY person here. And vice versa.

Really wanna buy one, but how to charge it? Says it comes with a LCS20 charger, which on black and decker website says 115V only.. Which means a purchase of a step down transformer or an additional charger.. Can't seem to find that model number in Oz.. And one know a compatible charger with 240v capability?

  • How does this compare to a Hitachi. Thought there is a $179 deal on the Hitachi drill at Masters.

edit - I also noticed there is a Black and Decker Matrix 18v selling at Masters for $99. Wouldn't it be very similar to this 20v system and no hassle with voltage conversion?

    • 18V and 20V are the same thing - 5 cell li-ion.
They may as well call it 21V, as that is the full-charge voltage - 5 x 4.2V.

      • That's interesting.why do they call it 18v then. Is that because it's the lowest voltage it drops to before it needs recharging?

        • 3.6V is the nominal voltage for Li-ion cells. (5x3.6=18) It is kind of an average.
You can drain it below 3V without damaging it.

        • You would have bugger all tool capacity below 3.2v. Probably below 3.6 it would start to struggle.

Li ion should never be drained below 3. Many say 3.2v. It promotes the growth of crystal shunts that once they penetrate the membrane between layers, you get bad $^!% happening.

  • The linked item is NOT a matrix system drill

    • Thanks, Amazon have edited their listing so have updated this description - this was a copy/paste from original listing.

  • is the battery interchangeable to my other b&d power tools

i have a few 18v tools bought from local shops

Here is the matrix system, with impact attachment, for ~12 bucks more. worth the potential effort of stuffing around with chargers for that price. thanks OP.

    • This doesn't seem to come with a charger. Is that right?

      • googling the kit number showed a few other places selling it, and they all had the charger, so I would say yes.

  • is this 1….has a 230 v charger ?

    • has this 1….not it does !

    DeWalt by another name :-)

  • This does not appeared to have shipped, still has not arrived and Amazon seller has cleared off. Scammer…
