    You get 25% off Redux for each Metro game in your Steam Library — if you own the first one it might be worth dropping $5 on this and then picking up Redux for $25 instead of $50.

    Either way, great game. And Last Light doesn't benefit much from the Redux treatment nearly as much as 2033.

      Yeah, according to this announcement:

      "Metro: Last Light owners can upgrade to Metro: Last Light Redux for 50% off, and also get 25% off the Metro Redux bundle. Owners of both Metro games get 50% off the Metro Redux bundle."

      Is the discount on Redux for pre-purchase only or is it permanent if you own Metro on Steam? Because then it might be cheaper to wait and buy later if you are not ready to play on release or happy to wait for a discounts later on.

      The bunble is currently $49.98 so $37.49 (25% off) which is marginally cheaper then buying Metro 2033 to get individual discount on the Reduxes $39.99 = 14.99 + 12.50 (50% off) + 12.50 (50% off).

      I have not played either but Metro 2033 appears to be better according to reviews.

        Answering my own question, according to this listing:

        "Pre-purchase today to take advantage of an exclusive loyalty bonus offer – a 25% discount for each original Metro title in your Steam Library. For example – if you already own Metro 2033 or Metro: Last Light, you will receive a 25% discount on the Metro 2033 Redux bundle. If you own both original games on Steam, you will receive a 50% discount!"

        After shopping around a bit, I found several listings of Metro Redux Bundle Steam Gift for $27.27 AUD at Kinguin and I bought a Metro 2033 steam key from there for $5.05 AUD. I actually received Deep Silver Bundle C including Metro 2033, Risen and Sacred Citadel.

        So, I think I might hold off a bit on buying the Redux versions.

      Redux? Last Light barely runs on my 7870, if they make it any more prettier I think my GPU will melt into a pile of molten copper and aluminium.
