Chromecast for $39 Delivered from a Trusted Ebayer

180

Good price for the popular Chromecast. This seller has relatively fast shipping so you should receive the Chromecast by the start of next week at the latest.

Not as good as the previous deal from DSE https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/156900

  • How are they trusted?

    • +6

Ebayer has nearly 40,000 feedback at 99.8%. Thats a lot better than most commercial shops on Ebay.

      • -6

Would that indicate 800 bad experiences then?

        • +4

          Or 80 even?

Negative feedback at the rate of 1 in every 500 transactions is pretty positive…

        • +12

80 bad experiences. And yeah, some customers are just tools.

        • @ticket65:

          Yes, sorry it's 80.

WHAT IS IN THE BOX ?
    - CHROMECAST
    - USB CABLE
    - AC CHARGER
    - HDMI ADAPTER
    - AU ADAPTER

its not AU stock, will say doesn't worth it while you can get the AU stock for the same price or maybe cheaper as DSE last deal

Seller is based in Hong Kong too. They offer an Australian warranty and a 30 day return policy so theres nothing wrong with buying from them :)

      • +4

I am not saying there is something wrong with them, but for me I prefer AU stock if its the same price.

        • -2

Fair enough, I think it is still a decent price for a chromecast which retails for $49 + postage usually.

        • +2

@ShamelessBargains: Judging by the deals on here the last few weeks it seems exceedingly easy to pick an AUD one up from Dick Smith at $43 inc postage.

        • @IDontWantToSignUpJustToComment: that's true. I have had problems regarding dse shipping items on time or at all so I just find it easier to deal with a trusted ebayer with fast shipping and a good reputation.

If powered by a USB port on the TV, the adapter isn't needed.
      Just saying.

      • +1

not all TVs have USB port.

        • Or you can use (pretty much) any old usb charger..

      • +1

That's the setup I have. It's reasonably neat, especially if the HDMI and USB ports are close.

  • Pretty much normal price at Dicks now as they have it on special so often.

  • Can someone help me what is the difference with Google Chromecast and
"Ez Cast M2 Android Hdmi 1080p Player Dongle Wifi Display Receiver Adapter"

There are lots on sale on Ebay, this is the cheapest
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/231277911452?ssPageName=STRK:MEBO…

It looks like same to me..

i havent used chromecast so cant tell you the comparison but EZCAST looks and works similar to chormecast. it also works with ios airplay… you plug it in tv and it creates a virtual wirelss network…connect to it using you android/iphone and use the app to cast on the screen

what I said above is in nutshell… I am sure someone will point that I havent covered everything..

      • are you sure it works with genuine airplay?

  • Dick smith has then for 34/39 recently. Personally would go with them since warranty is far easier to sort out.

    • You make a valid point however ebay has been sending out discount coupons lately. I got a sent a $10 off coupon no minimum purchase through paying via PayPal. It's targeted advertising though

  • Still active.
