30pk AAA batteries, DSE branded $10

      cheaper at Bunnings

Do you mean the 24 pack for $9.48? yes, thats cheaper. I'll let you figure out what's wrong with your comparison. Wanna post your actual better price?

          oh, AA!

          It strikes again JV….

This has been a repeating problem for you. Do you know there are two types of betteries? both AA and AAA

    • Can I ask which ones jv? The varta ones are $9.50 for 24 batteries aren't they?

      • +5

jesus man! do not question JV! can't you just read and believe everything he says? do not go into details or facts.

          Yes you can…

          Size AA V's AAA again…

You just have to push them in harder to fit…

@jv: You also need to go to bunnings to get your AAs. These are inclusive of delivery.

Reckon you probably can't get DSE branded batteries at Bunnings

      • +4

        You wouldn't want to…

DSE ones are made in China.

        Varta are made in Germany…

Those cases aren't worth $23… Even at $5 you can get a better selection from ebay

I wonder if this strategy of Anchorage Capital to flog the DSE brand/products will run out of steam as soon as they offload the remaining stake.

Surely their margin must be taking a beating with the continued specials and sales they seem to continuously run ….

    • Probably something in that. There is no dobut activity is picking up, potentially to increase revenues. But they are often well below the market, hence why there are a alot of DSE deals at the moment, which means the margins can't be big.

  • +2

Apart from the fact that you can get free delivery out of them today. Most of the shit DSE are churning up lately isn't really a bargain at all. Take these 30 AAA's for example…. Supposed to be worth $24.98… Seriously!!! Masters have a 30 pack every day of the week for $7.70.
I wish we could get it back to the old days when bargains were posted and not just every 'so called' deal that comes across the table!!!

But what about the terrible quality 8gb class 4 SDHCs? for $13.50, bargain!

Love the first review… Failed in Turkey.
There's a couple of probable causes for this: He could've had an out of date turkey, maybe the cranberry sauce got into it, or perhaps it's maximum operable temperature was exceeded!!! ;)
Ps. Yes, definitely one of those DSE type 'bargains'!!!

        • These cards are OK to use in Greece, but the moment you step into Turkey… warranty void.

    • Not to mention the fact that the 30pk aren't even on sale (still $24.98 after 3pm)! You only get a 16pk "half price" for $8.99. I've been shafted by Dick again!

  • Business must be going bad, they even sell LSD now.
