    Not sure if this will help anyone, but I spent 50 mins trying too. Then cleared all my cookies and swapped to incognito mode and have managed to get 2 orders through in the last 5 mins (via Paypal).

      Well I guess thats was bull**** as I got through to paypal and it came back and told me " "Unable to initialize Express Checkout. Contact us if you need help" takes you back to your cart and said items were out of stock.

    Those that managed to snag one, did you just get the paypal receipt or an confirmation email from HN also? I only got the paypal receipt but nothing from HN…. Guess I would need the latter in order to pick up the order?

    Wondering if it's worth heading to the closest Harvey norman at 11am? Someone said before that it's local time when you can go in store as well. Some people over east by the look of it were able to purchase in store.

        That's not what someone said in the duplicate post which was deleted. These sales have started earlier before and stores don't open til 9am so if you're in WA and the sale started at 10am, how are you supposed to buy in store in that instance? I've never gone to a store for these sales before so don't know and was just curious.

    Go to any other itunes card on their website ie $30 card and postage is only $1.95.

    Can others try this too and see what postage is for other itunes cards from the HN website

    Postage was intentionally increased just for this deal

      I put two $20 cards in the shopping cart just now (with the normal $40 total price) and it says shipping is $1.95. $10 shipping during the sale hour is a blatant rip off.

        I've asked harvey norman for clarification as these 1 hour sales have occurred before 9am WA time before (I think, I could be wrong but either way a definite answer would be good) so how would that be possible in that instance if you can purchase in store also.

    Had the stupid site reject my PayPal payment after hanging for 3 mins and going past 12pm. The live chat guys said to add just one card at $20 and I'll get 2 as the offer was extended due to the site being down. Let's see if they honour their word… Grabbed the chat transcript just in case.

      I had the same experience with Paypal it went through but the cart errored and then I tried again and it went through OK but on return it was just after 12PM. I then could not proceed at all for 5min so I went into the chat and was not been offered that - I was told they were going to extend it .. but after refreshing it shows as a $40 charge.

      "Hi I was trying to get a paypal payment going for the itunes deal .. it went to pay pal but whhen it came back it said "Unable to initialize Express Checkout. Contact us if you need help" then went back to my cart .. I tried again ( for the 10th time .. and now tells me the item is out of stock"

      Yeah, we are dealing with this issue currently, as far as we've been made aware, we are extending the offer slightly, but it may take a few minutes to go through

      Ah I just tried it is letting me into the checkout again .. but shows a total of $40 for the price.

    Got 2. 1 online and 1 instore. Instore took forever. Lots of people called to order them and the sales person just put them under cash sales for the callers to collect later.

    $10 postage during the offer, and I got 'out of stock' online. Now the offer is over, postage down to $1.95 and mysteriously back in stock.

    Their website clearly can't handle any volume of traffic, they might as well just say 'instore only' next time, save a bunch of pissed off ex-customers.

    And yes, I have screenshots showing before and after deal postage as well as the out of stock message during the sale…

    Unfortunately, bondi's OW won't price match as they said it was a "bonus deal, not a price deal' what ever. Went to Alexandria OW, they were happy to price beat, plus they even considered my kids(2-5) as customers. Was charged $64 for 160 worth of cards.

    I questioned the click to chat guys at Harvey Norman regarding the shipping increase. This was there response "there was a change in delivery prices today
    however they be happy to pay you back half of the amount that you paid for delivery or if you like to pickup then we will pay you the whole $ 10 back".

      Did you happen to ask why the shipping charges suddenly went back to normal at 12:01pm? Australia post had made no change to their delivery fees as far as I am aware.

      Do you have a copy of invoice with the $10 shipping fee? I'm keen to pursue this further. If you do could you please PM me a copy ( blanking out personal details). Thanks.

        I did ask why all other iTunes cards were still $1.95 shipping. But I didn't get any additional comments to that. My shipping was $5, which I can PM to u tomorrow. Although strangly enough shipping was showing $10 for my partner (who ended up selecting pickup)

    I made it right at the last second, after trying all hour on and off to get through the broken checkout process online. However, I still have not received an email to say that they are ready for collection at the local store I selected. Anyone else receive a confirmation to pick up yet? It's been days, and they happily took my money.

      Have picked up my cards from both stores. 1 sent the pickup notification on Monday, the other store sent it yesterday.

      Use the contact form on the website and it will direct your questions to the store that has your order - they can tell you how long it's going to be.
